Re: Windows 10 update DX9 /ENB problems
Interesting. Today I decided to test Skyrim on a secondary machine I have with Windows 10 (not exactly a choice, to install Windows 7 on a Ryzen CPU is problematic), and I had the exact same problems that you - Massive flicker: check; - FPS limited to 29.9: check; - Somewhat borked colors: check; An...

Re: Fallout 4 really have occlusion culling?
I cannot optimize the game much, because Bethesda releasing too many beta patches. The issue you talking about is happening mostly because of drawing shadow casters. I understand. The question is whether these drawings can be bypassed considering that the result of them will not visible (the occlus...

Fallout 4 really have occlusion culling?
I noticed that the number of draw calls often goes 10,000 even when my character is looking at a wall (several objects behind the wall, but the wall is opaque), as if there were no occlusion culling and the engine was rendering everything in front of the character being visible or not. Boris, I reme...

Re: Fallout 4: God rays have wrong point of origin
Hum... I think I understand it, thanks for the explanation. But if I understand correctly then the solution for my case would be completely disable the Fallout4 godrays and then enable godrays generated by the ENB with the same technique used in Skyrim (you call them "sun rays" in Skyrim I...

Re: Fallout 4: God rays have wrong point of origin
Rays computed from shadows and same mistake as in Skyrim, how Bethesda did shadows. Fix is possible, but i don't think anybody need it, performance and quality both will be worse. Well... At least for me the godrays effect from Skyrim (as example) is good enough and more important, is correct. It w...

Fallout 4: God rays have wrong point of origin
This is not an error caused by the ENB, I'm posting here to see if by chance Boris would know how to fix this using the ENB or some other forum user knows how to fix. The problem is that the "point of origin" of godrays is not the sun, it becomes more evident if the flare effect is on (cre...

Re: Config that MAY work for you on Fallout 4
The game's default setting is 7 cores, not 4. Has there been any proven benefit from setting iPresentInterval off when it's caused so many issues in the past? Some of these values are just being set to the same as default. What is so important about the change to fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist? It's silly ...

Config that MAY work for you on Fallout 4
After many tests I ran into a setting that seems to work (at least to me) to prevent stuttering and decided to share the same if it helps someone else. First, get the more recent NVidia driver of course; On Fallout 4 launcher: As Boris said, set the shadow distance to "medium", this helps ...

Re: Fallout 4 0.280
Folks, game is awful from inside. It's like the made by indie who just want to develop games and ask on the forums what engine do they need for survival zombie point and click racing game. And this both bad gamebryo engine changes and new renderer pipeline. Some basic features of the mod like post ...
