Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.394
I'm not sure but it doesn't seem the distant shadow is working on the tree lods. https://imgur.com/a/fXhNpNm. On and off either arent on at all and no change. I tried saving then applying changes both times. Not sure why I can't seem to get it to work. Hasn't seemed to work for awhile; but it used ...

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.390
One the tree LOD thing, I think it's a weather mod issue causing a mismatch. I remember kojak747 mentioning this with a nice pic showing the mismatch in a weather creation guide: "Next, note Sunlight Scale. Notice how the tree lods remain relatively dark //In the example it was an inverse misma...

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.390
Tree billboards use the same as grass I think, ENVIRONMENT > Direct / Ambient Lighting, I remember tree LODs on the shoreline getting all rosy shortly before the sun came up on some weather mods, maybe shadows are not applied to them the same way as it applies to grass.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.381
Mods in general work here, but I'm not sure I ever used a particular water mod, most texture mods I used were all-in-one and BSA packed.
Did you remember setting bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 in the MyGames\Fallout4 .ini? I tend to forget that part.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.381
Thank you kindly Boris!!! No more messing with game files for rays now!!
Unlike the static fog using the game rays as fog with high a range will cover the sky too, it always drove me MAD that if you increase regular fog the sky stays clear.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.381
Boris, if you get some spare time after water stuff, could you try looking for the last volumetric fog parameter on this image (Sampling Repartition - Range Factor)? https://i.imgur.com/IMfR40E.png Vanilla volumetric rays are terrible as close sun rays but with high range values they make a great su...

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.380
Is it possible to add direct sunlight calculation to similar particles?? Effects such as the vanilla mountain fog are not affected by sunlight, most painfully noticeable during sunset/sunrise since it has fixed colors: - if a weather mod keeps it gray the sun doesn't color it on sunny spots ...

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.376
Thank you for working on this Boris! SE's grass had a rather dull look, until now :) Mirx Multi-Layer Parallax (the only known to work on SE) is more akin to the parallax effect used in web-pages (moving a background image at a different speed than the top image to give the impression of depth), you...

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.372
random007 What I'm thinking happened is that Bethesda made a confusing system by defining "horizon" as the sky layer *above* what the actual horizon in game is (Cloud Layer 28, what we call the background clearing) and this led us to think there were issues with the sky when trying to alt...

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.372
random007 -- I think what you are seeing there is one of the culling data glitches opening a hole in the sea, like what this mod tries to address. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6314 edit: although I also think that background clearing might correspond to one of the cloud layer...
