Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.401
About parallax I think it would be worth it to look into it if you have some time since if ares does release a fix himself that isn't compatible with ENB people are sure to ask for ENB to support it as well. There are plenty of parallax mods for Skyrim Legendary that could be ported to work on SSE s...

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.347
Very nice Boris, I went from 36 to 22 seconds using MO2 with +-150 mods.
Thank you very much!

Re: Reducing startup time
I get where you are coming from, since I deal with Mod Organizer 2 issue reports all the time. Still it would be really sad if the improvements are held back simply because people are deemed too stupid to handle it. When working on Mo2 I decided that I would rather provide the features for the peopl...

Re: Reducing startup time
That is good to hear. You expressed concern for wasting disk space when caching files, I wouldn't have though of that as a factor, how much space are we talking about? Because I would expect most modders to not have to worry about disk space. About the problem that people would share the cache files...

Re: Reducing startup time
I don't use ReShade since it had too much of an impact on performance. For me the Mod shaders compilation takes only 2.226 seconds, or at least that is the amount of time that I see the multithreaded spike, I don't actually know if they are finished after that spike. After that short spike of CPU us...

Re: Reducing startup time
I will test later with the official files to exclude that this is due to mod shader compiling. I will tell you though that a part from a initial spike of a second or so the rest of the loading is happening on a single core (corresponding to the "compiling shaders, enable shader cache for better...

Re: Reducing startup time
I saw the SSE ENB update that mentions a startup time decrease: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/347329036084707330/473568918175481866/unknown.png I tested it out on my modded setup on an SSD using MO2 with 80 plugins installed. I was also using the mod I talked about in my previous post that ...

Re: Reducing startup time
I dont like idea to force something, people will come here to complain. Yeah you are right, I can totally understand that. I'm glad I could be of help for the hash thing. I'm currently investigating the vanilla game (without ENB I mean but with other mods) loadtimes with a couple of other devs to s...

Re: Reducing startup time
I don't know how many settings we are talking about, or if the changes in-game of ENB have anything to do with this, but if you have to compare just configurations at startup then just compute hashing the entire setting file and comparing the result it to older one might be faster than checking indi...
