Re: TES Skyrim v0.106 BETA test
It seems that the "dark shadows" bug in v0.105 and v0.106 are a result of forcing SSAO through nVidia drivers, at least for me. With v0.105 and v0.106, I still do get some flickering, but only during weather changes outdoors. In most areas, I get a solid 60 FPS using v0.105, with slightly ...

Re: TES Skyrim v0.106 BETA test
SSAO doesn't hit performance too hard if you turn down the filter quality and tweak the sample size, etc. -- at least for me, that is. Unfortunately, the quality decreases in a non-linear way when one turns down the quality settings. What does kill my performance is SSIL, either just by itself or wi...

Re: TES Skyrim v0.105 BETA performance test
Is it just me or are shadowed areas unaffected by ambient light setting? In the daytime e.g. I get really dark shadowed areas, increasing ambient light doesn't seem to work right, increasing up to something like 20 only makes highlights more colorful. I have the same problem. I just can't seem to g...

Re: TES Skyrim v0.105 BETA performance test
All I can say is "wow." There's no FPS hit in this version and I'm even forcing SSAO through my nVidia drivers. My uGridsToLoad is set to 9 and I'm using the high-res texture packs from Bethesda. Still, ENB performs as well as vanilla Skyrim. Thank you! @Jaguar There was a great deal of di...

Re: FIRMA ENB for Skyrim
Thanks so much. I really do appreciate your support. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but I seem to get better performance with ENB since the "official" patch. Now, there's really not a big difference in performance between ENB and vanilla on my system, which is great. I'm getting ...

Re: FIRMA ENB for Skyrim
Thanks a bunch, guys! It's encouraging to hear constructive criticism - keeps me wanting to improve this config. I think I've solved the volumetric fog issue. I've actually decreased the values for both the intensity and the curve. This keeps it white-looking while making it less apparent and more t...

Re: FIRMA ENB for Skyrim
New version in the works. I'd been playing through an HDTV instead of a monitor and there are just too many differences between the two. I've already got a list of things I'm working on, but please, any suggestions are welcome. *EDIT* Here are a couple samples of what I've been working on. Obviously...

Re: FIRMA ENB for Skyrim
Thanks very much! I know it's not one of those "WOW" presets, but I think it looks pretty natural for those who'd like a toned-down version of ENB.
And yes, the haze and the blue/green were the first to go, lol.

FIRMA ENB for Skyrim
I've tailored this preset to my own tastes, in an attempt to create what I believe to be a more "realistic" or "natural" look for Skyrim while staying within the ENB framework. I haven't edited the original shaders at all -- this preset simply tweaks some settings that are alread...

Re: TES Skyrim v0.103 Injector BETA
Hehe, it's okay. I don't think I was incredibly clear in my last post... If you just put the FXAA/SMAA files in the Skyrim root directory with the ENB 0.103 files, the game will automatically detect, or "hook", the d3d9.dll from your FXAA/SMAA. This is because ENB 0.103 uses an injector to...
