Re: TES Skyrim

@Boris I tend to agree you got a few points... however also keep in mind that most of the people who started using ENB, kinda set the basis for what styles could be done. At some point you end up with having to do .esp based changes as well if you want truly original looks, or even do texture change...

Re: TES Skyrim 0.272

Back when I was deciding on monitor the final contestants where a 27" Samsung and Dell... the only reason I decided on the Dell was that there was a 50% price of due to some event during that week... so the choice was really rather simple for me. As I recall then samsung actually does make thei...

Re: TES Skyrim 0.272

IPS panels vary rather largely in quality. At least that was my experience when I had to decide on mine. I agree that the contrast is not as good as some other panel types, but the color representation and view angle is superior as advertised. Then again I do not really mind lower contrast monitors,...

Re: TES Skyrim

Dithering in SweetFX cannot remove the degree of banding in Skyrim. The best way (as in cheapest and least image intrusive overall) to fight the banding is by adding a low intensity saturated random noise piece of code. This will help smooth out the banding of all but the most extreme of grey tones....

Re: TES Skyrim

@jarfin You do not even need the CK actually. You can just get tes5edit, and then download the mod watercolor for ENB and adjust that. It will already have the relevant entries edited. Ofc. it is a bit easier inside the CK since you can see the color change in real time. And even though ENB is limit...

Re: TES Skyrim

The color of water is decided by an .esp and the related water values you can set in the CK. You do not have to mess with textures at all.

Re: TES Skyrim

lol 8k... at that memory consumption it would most likely be more worthwhile to actually improve the amount of vertices in the model to create more actual detail! But awesome that it is done nonetheless! Love the shots! (Except the spider... for some reason it looks too noisy)

Re: TES Skyrim

Yeah I am fairly certain that the effect only really is visible on certain nif´s with certain settings. Not quite sure which flag(s) are required however. But it is not all objects that have the effect applied to them, and not at the same strength value.

Re: TES Skyrim

Well the general criticism is correct... you will not be able to attain playable framerates at the quality levels we mostly see here. I honestly think it is more sad that some people try to give people the impression that this is how the game will look, and they will then be able to easily play it a...

Re: TES Skyrim

Oh yeah I would always do 4k in photoshop or gimp... just because it is much easier and nicer to work with it there. And downscale normally does not ruin anything.. if it does one is really really going pixel hunting. As for the landscape tiling... it is not anything technical that is an issue for m...
