Re: Natural Lighting and Atmospherics for ENB

Just slight updates to some of the clear weather sky statics that were a little too desaturated in the morning and evening, and some tweaks to the lighting including shortening the sunrise/sunset length and making a slightly darker, more saturated blue in the twilight hours. I'm not sure what I prefer yet.

Re: Natural Lighting and Atmospherics for ENB

one suggest from my side:

your enbpresents using filmgrain out of enbeffectprepass.
which can't be adjust from day/night/intrior
but there is one for enbeffect, which can adjust all these settings.
Because your nights are quite dark and if you adjust them the filmgrain is "quite" visable.

Confidence-Man wrote:I've tried many times to make a CoT preset, the colors are too strange and values are out of whack. It don't think it would need a patch to use them both if you want, I modify vanilla weathers while all of CoT's are new so there shouldn't be any overlap.
I get a bit confused on if NLA can be used with CoT or not as the description on Nexus says that it "will result in something probably pretty ugly".

Re: Natural Lighting and Atmospherics for ENB

The .esp part of his preset doesn't interfere with COT's weathers, so it's perfectly fine to use them together.
They're just not tweaked and won't look as good as Confidence-Man's tweaked vanilla weathers, leading to possibly not as beautiful results.

You know, stuff artists would say.. :)

CM, any chance you are updating again soon? I want to see what you have done with Boris' new sun/moon controls.

Re: Natural Lighting and Atmospherics for ENB

Hopefully tomorrow. I've been incorporating the new stuff, and I wanted to redo the foggy weather to incorporate it all.

Image

Cloudy and foggy nights with the moon(s) out look awesome.

Arkngt - They aren't entirely incompatible; CoT creates all new weathers whereas the majority of mine use the vanilla weather IDs (a handful are new). I'm assuming if you used them both together you'd get CoT weathers and whatever vanilla weathers it retains will use my values. Of course a preset that's based on my weather will probably look bad with CoT's and vice versa.

Rehbock - Does any presets use separated film grain? The reason I like it is precisely that it's noticeable at night; it sort of blends the dark patches of sky, fog, clouds, etc... into each other.

um...wow. Your preset is really incredible. I know people have been telling you that for awhile. Do you look at a lot of real life images for inspiration? A lot of the techniques you use in your preset look like you are inspired in that way. I haven't seen a single preset that replicates your lighting on mountains for the cloud shadows and volumetric rays. Can't wait for for future updates!

p.s. You should post more WIP images. It's always nice to see your new stuff before an update.

Ah, OK, that explains it. Thanks!
