Last ENB

Figured I'd make a separate topic for this update as I am hoping this to be more or less final. I'm sure some things may come up but just let me know and I'll do my best to address it. I'm hoping to spend less time on Skyrim and ENB tweaking but I am pretty satisfied with these results either way.

The main purpose of this config is to deliver a balanced and playable ENB. Many configs can look breathtaking in certain situations and some people even tweak their ENB's for specific screenshots but it may not look great in some of the thousands of different conditions that Skyrim may put you in. I'm sure you all have had the same experience after viewing some awesome screenshots only to load up the config and in game it looks vastly different than what you were expecting. This config aims to look the best in whatever situation which means certain sacrifices have been made, and so it is best judged by playing and not just by checking out the screens. It is not 'stylized' or is going for any specific look or feel(ie Witcher, etc..) but only is out to make playing the game an overall better experience while trying not to stray from a natural/vanilla look.

Of course every system and setup is different and will give different results. Me, I wish I had an nvidia card so I could really get the most out of those awesome configs that have amazing SSAO settings but I'll just have to settle with what I have.. There is SSAO in this config but ATI doesn't handle it very well so please feel free to mess around with the settings and post some pics, and if there is any feedback I am certainly all ears. Yo Joey: Those screens look very good. Looking forward to try it out at some point. It does look very ballanced! I very much like the colors of your skies. The DOF does look a little extreme on some images. But it might not be a problem when actually play the game

Thanks! The dof is actually pretty subtle, it's not bokeh and I lowered the power and other settings pretty significantly. Not a fan of the bokeh super fast and hard dof's that seem to be in most setups. But for some reason after lowering the power, etc.. it somehow slowed the rate at which it focuses. It doesn't really bother me too much, it's actually kind of nice I think, but I'd like to know what settings affect speed which I couldn't seem to figure out...

Wow, that's easy enough, thanks! I for some reason thought that setting was rendered useless by matso's code as that parameter existed before his DoF code came out. Haha, it's set at 2.0 which explains my slow focusing...

After a much needed break from Skyrim I came back to fiddle just a bit for a little overhaul of my setts. I took way too many screens, sorry if this post goes a bit long..
