Recettear - using guilty gear (so close)

Hey there,
I tried the guilty gear mod for enb on receatter - http://www.carpefulgur.com/recettear/
the dx8 to dx9 means that i can use texmod/umod which is awesome.
It works with antisropic filtering and adding antialiasing, and force display size mostly works (the game by default won't allow over 1280), but the screen is somewhat offset. Strangely when i turn off the effects, the screen is rending all the 3d at 1680x1020 properly centred in 3d scenes, but the interface layer is 1280x960 in the top left.
Does this means there's a good chance this could be adjusted to work?
There's a demo you can download - it's a fun little game, would be awesome to bring it more up to date.
Thanks for any help.
