I'm currently trying to find one. No luck as of yet.
There was even a proposal to directly modify tesv.exe to make the patch permanent. Will not work so good with steam version i think. Steam will probably detect that the file was modified and "fix" it.

Re: Skyrim Memory Patch - fixing ILS, uGrids CTD, freezes
For what it's worth, I'm using the first compiled version posted in this thread and I haven't had a single CTD since then. I'm using +200 plugins, a gazillion texture replacers (my Textures folder is 20,5 GB) and ENB pretty much maxed out. Now I've upped ugrids to 7 and added Open Cities and the game is rock solid. Pre-Memory Patch I got CTDs after playing for an hour or so, plus I had problematic areas, such as Windhelm and its surroundings, which often led to CTDs. Now I'm using Skyrim Realistic Overhaul for Windhelm as well as Open Cities - and no CTDs at all.

Congratulations Which are the compiled files that you used?mindw0rk wrote:Quick update. I finally found compiled files that fit perfectly for my system. No CTDs after 30 minutes of play with 255 mod cap and 2/4k textures. So if you still get crashes, keep testing with different inis and dlls.mindw0rk wrote:Nearox, if you manage to solve crashes, please post here. Since I also have them still happening, even though game became much more stable

Re: Skyrim Memory Patch - fixing ILS, uGrids CTD, freezes
Thank you. Tried them both, no difference... I'm starting to think this is a script issue, as the crashes even occur when only using 50% vram and less than 1gb of ram. However, dozens if not hundreds of people are using SR:LE and many at the STEP forums seem to run a fully stable game with that setup and these fixes. Seeing as this mempatch did reduce the amount of ctd's, but not remove them, there must be something at work here which is still preventing a stable game on my box.Aminados wrote:@Nearox
Do me a favor..
Try with both of these, they require Steam:
512 - 256 blocks
768 - 512 blocks
If they still don't work for you.. then try all these some will crash on startup, it's normal, just try another.

Sorry for being a complete newb but do I just add the given ini tweak and reap the benefits? Seems a little sketchy? I'm assuming I am required to do some C++ editing and create a new dll?

@ Sheson
Took up your suggestions, but nevertheless still crashed twice in the last 1.5 hour. The error is now the same 0xe06d7363 for both reports, and I checked some older dumps from yesterday night as well and they all have that same error code (although some things like the 'BUCKET_ID' and a few others do differ per log).
Tried it on both SR:LE as well as STEP:Core, same results.
Hope these logs are somehow able to provide you with a hint of what is crashing the game, and whether it is resolvable through your patch or not:
minidump latest: http://pastebin.com/XWjYjrPs
minidump 2nd latest: http://pastebin.com/xpk9Guxh
Thanks again and in advance for your help.
P.S. Saw Boris saying somewhere on the forum that "Out of video memory (vrma crashes as you called it) can't cause issues, it's not acting like ram, you searching in wrong direction." So I'm even more confident now that vram is not the cause, nor ram as I have plenty left and the tesv.exe process takes up about 1gb ram only with enboost.

Re: Skyrim Memory Patch - fixing ILS, uGrids CTD, freezes
I think you should turn off your mods, start a new game (or coc riverwood) with something like ugrids 13 to stress the game engine and fly around the map to see if you still crash or freeze. If you don't crash or freeze you probably have some mod conflict or scrips that are causing your problems.Nearox wrote:@ Sheson

No you just need to download a version like this one https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/228 ... mpatch.rar , put it in your Skyrim Folder (not Data, put it next to TESV.exe, and over write skse files)Korgul wrote:Sorry for being a complete newb but do I just add the given ini tweak and reap the benefits? Re: Skyrim Memory Patch - fixing ILS, uGrids CTD, freezes
There is now a version of this with a handy little guide over on the Nexus site http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/?
Has anyone had any testing of things like the cache killers ? just curious if others are having the same experience as I am and no longer need them.
I am also attempting to track down some unusual AI behaviour that has started to occur in my game with higher uGrid values, has anyone else seen similar ?

Would it be advisable to run cleanmem along this patch?
