(btw do you know a way to get AAuroras base config to work in Lost Alpha ???...)

Any news on making an ENB work with the Lost Alpha? Really want to play this game but the jaggies I am getting on the grass are just horrible. Going to try to play with alpha test MSAA in game settings when I get home in a few hours. Does anyone have any ideas to smooth out the grass or foliage in general? I do not recall this game ever looking this way. I am running an Nvidia 660 at default driver setting the last drivers before the ones introduced couple weeks back. (Sorry, at work)

I would be ecstatic if I could just smooth some of this out and jump right into the game. When I checked out Crysis 3 I thought the same thing about the grass that it sucks and is an eye sore. Is there something wrong with my head? It's almost like the screen door effect DLP projectors can produce when you are sensitive to them.

Hope I am making sense. Thanks my friends!

You are making sense,

The latest build of ENB specific to stalker (v0.0176 beta) will work on any stalker dx9 installation, ( not 100% with CS & CoP, still testing atm myself)
It will work as long as no other shaders are running, as you may know to get AA2 enb to run the r2 shaders need to be disabled (by deleting or renaming r2 folder)
Mods like Lost Alpha and Stalkersoup run through database files and the shaders are controlled from there and can't exactly be disabled, I do not know how.. but anything that is based via the "gamedata" folder then ENB will work for that.

I am working on a project to test ENB on as many mods as I can, I'll be posting it up on Moddb, I'll be adding custom settings pallettes and constantly testing with new and old mods.

Very helpful post. Thank you very much. Looks like I am going to have to wait a bit if I'm going to be that picky..

Yes but when I did do that it required alot of tweaking for performance of my system.

Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl

Hi everyone

I downloaded the Autumn Aurora 2 from here - http://www.moddb.com/mods/autumn-aurora-compilation-mod

It's an August 20th release - and it says it already has ENB, DoF, just looks amazing - and I didn't even have to delete shadows folder for it to work, nor did I download any ENB or further configuration files. And I have an AMD card.

Am I missing something? The game just looks amazing, does the new release already include ENB and some of the configuration you guys posted here? One thing I noticed is that the hands of the character aren't blurred like on some screens, and the colours are less lively. But the textures are amazing, DoF is amazing, lighting is great.

I just want to ask what would you recommend to do if I want more eye candy? I read the whole thread, all readme instructions from various versions posted here and I'm just confused about how to make small tweaks now and not ruin the already great experience.

Since the new release of AA2 apparently does include enb, should I just pick one configuration from those posted here and copy the files? Or should I download the enb original files first? Also is the SweetFX actually incompatible with 64-bit systems just like the readme says?

Can anyone help me? I can't get graphics half as good as Brussels screenshots, I only notice a color palette difference when disabling and enabling ENB.

I don't get any DOF or any other effects. I extracted enb 0.176 in bin with the brussel configs

maybe this will help
Doof wrote:if you playing with AntiAliasing you should disable it (in game and in drivers), otherwise enb will not work
also you can check files destination (i think there is a error in brussell's readme file: it says put all files in bin/ folder, but this is wrong (correct me if I wrong :P), some of these files, like [enbeffect, enbeffectprepass, enbpalette, enbseries] should be placed in game root folder, only dll's should be placed in bin/
anyway, if you dont see "enb 0.176 beta blah blah blah" in your left top corner of the screen after 2-3 secs in game menu, there must be something wrong
Doof wrote: Well, if all the obvious things have already been checked, lets goo deeper
1. check your in-game version, if im right, it should be 1.0006
2. check main-enb-dll, redownload it from http://enbdev.com/mod_stalker_v0176.htm (this file should be downloaded manually, it is not placed in enb-presets-archive like brussell's)
3. check your ingame video options because: "Game video options must be set to fully dinamic lighting and everything maxed out, developed and tested on NVidia card with vanilla game." (C) enb-readme
also try to disable Steam overlay
