Re: TES Skyrim

For everyone here, who plays the game and comes across screenshots? Who starts up the game without the intent to play, but only to take screenshots?

Most of the time it is to play the game, as I am still a very active player. However I also like to do showcases of mods and ENBs and in those cases it is for screenshots.

Which is a nice segway to ...

Sloth has officially released his M-ENB and I have to say it looks amazing. This is a cinematic ENB with an old style look and feel to it.

M - ENB by Sloth
M - ENB is a dark & cinematic fantasy preset harnessing the latest binaries & effects.
With custom ENB weathers & heavy use of ambient color filtering, players will experience
different moods and atmospheres depending on the time of day, weather type, and location.

I would have to say to take screenshots. I still enjoy playing the game but after over 1600 hours with Skyrim I don't really use any strategy or skill. I did that for about the first few hundred hours playing with very few mods. If it wasn't for ENB I probably wouldn't be playing this game anymore. Looking forward to The Witcher 3 and Dragon Age 3. And of course the next Elder Scrolls game :)

It's not too much posting, keep them coming :)
I like the added contrast.

Excellent job everyone. I've really enjoyed all the screenshots this past week :)

Re: TES Skyrim

I agree with Symphonicjohn. After so many hours playing the game on both 360 and pc there's not much to do with Skyrim anymore. ENB and modding in general was the reason why I started playing Skyrim on pc. And the fact that my 360 got RROD.
So now I have one character that I play the game with. Otherwise I like to create characters and what I like to call going on a photo session. Nowadays Im tweaking bits here and there just to get a better shot.
Why do you ask, evok99?

I do a little of both. I play the game completely through 4 times already even the side quests, beside the radiant quest cause that would never end of repeats. Now I just roam around checking some area, and test on some skin textures/making character, and take shots along the way. What you see in my shots is my gameplay settings, and everything else. I don't edit the ENB just for shot.

@symphonicjohn
agree with you totally, same goes for me. If it isn't for ENB I would not play this game more than once. BTW awesome 1st picture and skeletons.

@YetiASX
Nice forest shots

Re: TES Skyrim

I mentioned I can tweak something just to get a better shot. In this shot I increased DirectLightingIntensitySunrise to get slightly better looking lighting contrast.

Just curious. I've never beat the game. I played for about 30 hours. Got into ENB and taking screenshots. That's all I do now. Tweaking is more fun than the actual game now lol.

Anyway, I HATE the snow tree textures. The branches pop out so bad, no matter which ENB preset I use. Admittedly, some handle it better than others, but the trees are always too bright. I have tried a few different tree textures and LOD textures, but nothing really seems to fix the issue. Are there any other mods that can help with this?

Here is a screenshot showing my issue.
