jim2point0: Your ENB is the one I'm really looking forward to try out, Daytime looks fantastic! But if I can be frank.. You're nighttime is a bit too contrasty for my taste, the blacks are too black.. But that could be the pictures. Maybe it works better when you actually play it? Oh, and the images you have in the Surreal tread looks a bit more like paintings than your latest images in here... And another thing we can't see from images is the adaptation. Are you using adaptation, cause that's the first thing I try to get rid of, when I try another mans ENB... Well, just my two cents, take it or leave it Can't wait to get my hands on it anyways!!!

Re: TES Skyrim
My night look has always been pretty consistent. It's what I want, but I know it's not for everyone. It is a lot easier to see though in-game in motion. My images are always a bit darker looking than it seems to be in-game. I originally started tweaking this because I never liked a single preset's night look (except fedorrrz's, but it's almost a bit TOO warm). I know I could make it more "normal" looking... but maybe that's an optional feature I can add in later.kalicola wrote:jim2point0: Your ENB is the one I'm really looking forward to try out, Daytime looks fantastic! I've been working toward making my day's more consistent with my nights... but it does make them more crisp and less like a painting. However, the softer "painted" look really didn't do a good job in some areas with lots of outdoor clutter (see: everywhere in Skyrim). Again... maybe I can make 2 different day options. In fact, I'm pretty conflicted now and am almost considering 2 different presets altogether. I really don't have enough time for this. Job + wife = no time for fun. Probably why I stay up until 3-4am and never get any sleep
EDIT: I don't understand what you're saying about adaptation. Can you explain? You say you can't see it... and you also say to get rid of it? I'm not sure what it would look like if you could see it.

@midhras
@Unreal Warfare
Thanks guys for the nice comments about the shots as it means a lot coming from you folks since I visit this thread daily & on more than one occassion and I am always amazed at the quality of the work all you regular posters churn out! . It just inspires me to 'try' and grab a couple decent shots that I feel are worthy of posting with the rest of the group especially when using a particular users config/setup or mod as a way to say thanks and in my small way for me to contribute to the thread/community. So thanks again.

Re: TES Skyrim
First of all, I'm sorry about flooding this thread with images of scantily clad women in armor that is NOT lore-friendly. I don't normally do this, so I hope you'll forgive me this once. I also don't want to bury my questions\thoughts to kalicola... hopefully he still sees them and responds Mostly about adaptation. Here we go. Again, thank you Gionight for pointing this out. This was fun

Re: TES Skyrim
jim2point0: Don't drown yourself by making more than one preset If I think your nights are too dark, then I can easily ajust it myself right With Adaptation I mean the effect where you look at something dark, and the image will light up, and if you look at something bright like the sky, the image will brightn down. Like a real camera works.. I think it is called HDR lighting in computer language, but I'm not sure about that.. It's just an effect I really don't like in games.. And it's kind of a bitch to remove, cause if you remove it, then either your days are too dark, or your nights are too bright, and it takes some effort to get it right again, without the adaptation effect... I'm sure this makes not sense at all lol!
