Re: Fallout 3

Some DOF tests here. I'm using Matso's 4.0.0 DOF (with manual adjustments enabled to discover the posibilities). It seems bokeh rendering is not as pronounced as in Skyrim, and will only get really visible when highly exaggerated. Maybe it's not even bokeh DOF I'm getting.

Some comparisons:

Furthermore, because trillville made me, I've tried my hand at in-game rendering of a 5:4 aspect ratio at 2160p. This meant huge black bars on the left and right hand sides, and it felt like playing through the viewfinder of my old camera. It sure makes screenshooting a bit... different.

Re: Fallout 3

No, it definately doesn't blur as much.

#define fBlurScale 0.006

I use 0.2 or 0.3 for skyrim, I had to jack it up to 0.6 before I got the feel I wanted.

EDIT
Anyone else's frames capped at 30? This is annoying the heck out of me. And yes, I have disabled the framerate limiting in the ini. Also my vertical lines are much less noticeable (almost invisible) in the latest update but now I have this 30fps limit imposed on me :|

Re: Fallout 3

May be it's because of depth scaling difference between games. Or/and lower intensity ranges of Fallout.

Re: Fallout 3

I confirm not being able to get SSAO to work. Also, that frame-capping is probably because you've got the stutter remover installed. Check its ini file.

Re: Fallout 3

I do have the stutter remover installed, but I have managefps to 0.

And the frames are only capped to 30 when I turn ENB on.

SSAO works with the latest version midhras, Boris uploaded a new version today.

Re: Fallout 3

Never mind, I feel like such a retard.

Deleted ALL ENB files from my folder and reinstalled it. All is working normally again. So weird though how my fps was being limited @_@.

As for the vertical lines/stripes, they only appear if you set UseOriginalPostProcessing=false and UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false both to true. which is what I was doing for testing purposes.

Re: Fallout 3

Oh, it does, yeah. Funny thing is that there's again a problem with beards. :D
A different one now, where there's a bright area at the beard's rim. Well, at least it's not translucent (as far as I've seen)... More shots later.

Oh, and THANK YOU Boris.

------------------------------------
EDIT
------------------------------------

Well, chromatic aberration, brightness limiting, bokeh DOF, manual DOF, it all works. Quite differently than in Skyrim, but that's fine.
Now to get IL to work. Don't notice much of an effect yet.

Re: Fallout 3

Am I right in thinking FO3 is better than New Vegas?

Re: Fallout 3

If you're asking me... I'd say it's way better. Sure F:NV has some new tricks, more mods but FO3 has style, flair, atmosphere in spades.

The ENB was designed for Fallout: New Vegas though. This might mean poor support for FO3. There are a couple bugs, such as beard edge problems and massive water trouble. The transparant sun and weapons are something that are present in F:NV as well, I thought.
