Re: TES Skyrim

Thanks Darkstorne, appreciated. Sure enough trillville's config is one of the finest, if not the finest. Nice shot by the way, oozes with atmosphere.

Regarding SSAO, even with it's quirks (the arctic area looks really funky with intense SSAO!) I couldn't imagine living without it because of an additional touch of realism - or drama, if wanted - it brings. Nvidia SSAO works for a quick fix, but the wonderfulness of ENB SSAO is in the way you can tune it to work together with everything else in your setup to work to your end. I think that's also the key to unlocking its power - it doesn't work out of the box by just flicking it on. The beauty of it is that with direct and ambient lighting, SSAO and Sky Lighting you can achieve layered shadows and create more believable lighting. Playing with sampling range and amount is a good place to start, but it's hard to give any exact pointers without knowing what should be accomplished.

A couple of shameless quickies from Falkreath for a good measure:

PS:
I believe in ENB 0.114 i believe the swich for Indirect Lighting is broken. IL is activated regardless of "UseIndirectLighting=false"
Take a look at this:
I had the same nasty line problem

It no accentuating of low-poly geometry, it too much AO you applied ;)
Simply decrease AOAmount a bit and those nasty line should disappear.

And IL is working, as far as I can say.

Btw: Are Candles brightness best adjusted with DirectLight, PointLight, [Fire] or [LightSprit], if any of these?

Re: TES Skyrim

Darkstorne: Very nice shot. My opinion of SSAO is its nice but don't want to use too much of it as it leads to other issues. I use a little but I don't want it too strong, namely due to lines on the ground in particular (especially snow as mentioned) as well as too dark of a 'halo' around character shadows at times (especially if near a wall near the light source). I use very little atm but I need to adjust as haven't touched them since changing everything (but holding off till I fix some 'too bright' day issues).

Still haven't tried to fix my overly bright days (and nights are bit too bright atm because of it and haven't adjusted--but I may try to keep it close as like the look without being too bright under most conditions).

Re: TES Skyrim

What do you guys discussing? SSAO is ambient occlusion and it must not be visible in areas like that screenshot with snow. Amount of sky average color as gray, that what it should be, so big values are incorrect. Of course low detail of the game doesn't allow to create more precise effect.

Re: TES Skyrim

Some screenshots using OpethfeldtV6 still, this time I'm seeing what it is like with Climates of Tamriel installed (as opposed to Realistic Lighting)

Re: TES Skyrim

Someone started Dawnguard I see ;) Just started it myself but first area looks great. On a side note: Looks great still Plywood--looks like you painted them instead of took screenshots.

Did I miss something? Dawnguard was released for PC? Or does Enbseries also run on XBOX360?

Adjust the light intensity with point lighting intensity, the glow sprite with lightsprite settings.

Beautiful shots, Plywood. Opeth's setup is gorgeous.

Love your skies, eldyraen. Hopefully you'll get your brighness issues sorted out soon enough.
