Ok, there must be some logical reason. Highest quality SSAO, Highest quality Skylighting, highest quality everything else. Plus, dat resolution. 1440p. 16xAA? I mean the 670 is a great card, you must have some crazy stuff going on here.
And im not using regular AA (MSAA/SSAA/SGSSAA), only FXAA for that screenshot.
Maybe its the res, as mine is quite low, or your using even more grass than me, but I never see frame rates as low as that with my 670... currently using 'ingame' 8xAA + FXAA @ 1680x1050 and all ENB features on, except Complex IL... even when forcing 2xSGAA on top never reduced things below 20fps [and is normally well above 30fps]. Not that I'm saying Unreal is doing something wrong, or anything else, but in most cases the 670 will perform just fine, and is probably the sweet-spot in terms of price v performance... maybe if the 660 was cheaper it would be worth considering, but the price difference between it and the 670 makes spending the extra worthwhile.
@guibap -
@propa - Awsome screens ... And I agree about COT... I've given it a few chances, but have given up on it now, as it does some horrible things at times; some of the textures are nice, but its a mixed bag.... now using ENB extended weather, and waiting for a decent texture replacement set.
If anyone here is familiar with FSX and REX [Real Environment X] I wish someone could do something on a similar basis for Skyrim.

With the default grass i get around 40fps minimum in that forest.

Re: TES Skyrim
May I ask what your using to achieve this density Unreal?... I use Glorious Grasses with Vurt's and I've been using Lush Grass, but I think that just makes the grasses bigger, rather than adding more... though I might be wrong there.Unreal wrote:Im using more grass than others, thats why...DogStar wrote: Maybe its the res, as mine is quite low, or your using even more grass than me, but I never see frame rates as low as that with my 670... currently using 'ingame' 8xAA + FXAA @ 1680x1050 and all ENB features on, except Complex IL... even when forcing 2xSGAA on top never reduced things below 20fps [and is normally well above 30fps]. Re: TES Skyrim
Glorious Grasses and Lush Grass is enough to achieve this. I also use it and I get the result.

Hmm... If you spend too long time on the reply page, then you will get locked out if you hit submit, and everything you have written will be deleted.. Just experienced that again /sigh
Anyways
Tywele: Sure I can post my adaptation settings. but keep in mind, that it will look different with your setup. Adaptation tied together with the overall brightness of the screen, so if you have very bright clouds, then my adaptation might dim the screen down too much, or if you have too dark ambient light, then my adaptation might brightn the whole screen up too much.. I don't know. I'm just guessing here.. Also keep in mind that this is not a all final adaptation settings. But it's the settings I use for my lates screenshots
And speaking of skylight. There's no skylight effect inside of dungeons right? And that means that the dungons will look alot brighter than nights, because skylight is making ambient light darker at night, but not in dungeons. Am I right here? It makes ballancing nights and dungeons alot harder.
Here's my adaptation settings. I'm using PP2 with split day and nights. And I can't remember where I got this from, sorry to the creator about that
