I really appreciate you pointing this out kalicola as my monitor needed adjustments that I was not aware of. Thanks!kalicola wrote:......
Dinkledorf: you musthave an extremely bright monitor, cause you night shots are 97% black on my screen. I also checked on my Iphone with max brightness, can just barely sense the environments. And the fire looks a bit too dim too... Unless this is what you want ofcourse

Re: TES Skyrim
Thanks. Got it working. Very nice and atmospheric, particularly with outdoor settings. Here's a sample shot:kalicola wrote:Haints: my game brightness slider is placed in the middle as default, and I don't use any lighting plug-ins whatsoever, exept further dark dungeons. So make sure URWL, climates of tamriel or realistic lighting is turned off.. I'm sure you'll already done that, just saying..
The only issue I have with it now is that some interiors have a kind of reddish haze over them. But I forgot to include Further Darker Dungeons so I'll have to go back and add that and see if it changes it.
Excellent DOF as well. What prepass are you using?
Thanks for letting me try your config!

Re: TES Skyrim
I dont know why but gp65cj04's DOF makes the screenshots look "miniature" (for the lack of a better word).

Re: TES Skyrim
Im not sure but do you mean the effect that slowly the environmental feeling becomes so dense and realistic through the dof also so concentrated that the fantasy environment cant holdup the illusion anymore ?
Everything in Skyrim (Lighting,Characters,Environment,Textures) is done in a Fantasy context giving it more and more realistic look soon brakes both worlds together and that will look strange thus why i created Scarlet Race to go try to brake out from Fantasy and see how that works out, @ least for now on the female character side.
See this wonderful article http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2 ... ways-exist

Re: TES Skyrim
Samurai: Assuming you mean this? Film and photographers can achieve the same look using certain lenses and/or programs. I've never been a huge fan of the look for any length of time but it can make for some really cool shots (both in game and RL). Several movies in recent years have used it in opening scenes which has made it bit more of a common practice (although still more novelty--gives me a headache after a while no matter the medium).
Can achieve the same effect (to some degree) with other Prepass files as well so not limited to his (although it probably does it 'best', from what I've seen).
