Which one ;) Have two now, OLSE and Relighting Skyrim - Dawnguard Edition.

Both my lighting mods are meant for a balanced and neutral all around experience (Not super bright lights in just a couple of locations that destroys your setup :roll: )So yes they are ENB compatable, but OLSE is not compatable with Enhanced lights and FX as I have made some changes in the same cells. But I could make a compatability patch quick and easy though by removing my edits in the same cell as Enhanced Lights and FX has done edits to. Then you would just load OLSE before Enhanced lights and FX ;)

If you want that is, I have covered alot more than what anamorfus has with his mod but he started with focusing on all the things I would eventually do. But I choose to start correcting vanilla lights and then I would move on and do what anamorfus has done.

Amwesome pictures, really like the picture of the most annoying NPC in the Skyrim world :P Real nice SSAO effect and good balanced contrast and brightness hich makes the image real "crispy" looking. SMAA or SweetFX aswell perhaps?
Thanks for the compliments on the screens. Using SMAA from SweetFX, PoloENB with Realistic Lighting and COT. Not sure on the exact SweetFX settings but I think it was the default settings for Vibrance, Luma Sharpen, SMAA and Curve. DOF is from BETTER THAN REAL - DoF ak tilt-shift for any ENB. Anyone interested in the clothing. There is a nifty little mod I found called Thanes Reward. I actually prefer it over all other clothing overhauls. It doesn't overhaul all clothes, but for what it lacks I just use some of the other good ones on Nexus.

So, I'm using OLSE since yours is further developed. I will likely get the dawnguard one too. A patch would be awesome, but would you rather wait until Enhanced Lighting and FX is further along in development? Not sure what makes more sense. I mean, is it even necessary to use both mods since they basically do the same thing?

EDIT - Damn, just saw this amazing mod! - Fgems Female Orc textures by Fgem

Right up there with Nuska's quality :shock:

Re: TES Skyrim

Fighting a dragon in complete darkness!

Using only magelight and firebreath from the dragon as light sources.

Re: TES Skyrim

You're welcome :) SweetFX is a good tool to have. That orc retexture was ridicously good very fine detailed face texture. Nuska? don't recognize that name from any mod author?

If you're intersted and using RL I have added alot of imagespaces that is not in the original RL 3.4 and 3.5 version. Even room markers have been added into the customization ;) Which also have Dawnguard and Heartfires compatability ;) not like RL 3.5 but you're able to actually change the values of imagespaces of dawnguard and heartfires seperately for Day, night, Dusk, dawn, interior and dungeon.

RL and COT? they shouldn't work together, atleast not very well.

The main difference between OLSE and Enhanced Lights and FX is that he has added fake "sun beams" and dust beams, candle smoke and other FX and is apparently blind to the intensity values :S While with OLSE I focused as I said on fixing errors which goes faster than adding a bunch of new stuff in at the same time.

Well he isn't the fastest updater so with the patch done for 0.1.3 it will be easy to update the compatabilty version later on. It's just simply removing the modified content with TES5EDIT.
example - Enhanced have modified Whiterun Breezehome interior and OLSE aswell, simply remove that cell block with TES5EDIT from OLSE and you're good to go :)

By the way I wouldn't have named it OLSE if it wasn't ENB compatable, OLSE = Overhaulin Light Sources for ENB ;)

To enable DOF in ENB, make sure this is set to true in the enbseries.ini file:

Code: Select all

[EFFECT]
UseOriginalPostProcessing=false
EnableBloom=true
EnableAdaptation=true
EnableAmbientOcclusion=false
EnableDepthOfField=true
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false
EnableDetailedShadow=true
EnableSunRays=true
EnableSkyLighting=true
I use the enbeffectprepass.fx file from:
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23765
Line 50 of the file will enable you to set manual DOF, and you can change the focus and aperture with 9 and 0 with PG DN and PG UP.
Thanks! I'll try editing line 50 as you say.

Regarding the vanilla depth of field effect, any specific presets you're having issues with? Have you recently started using COT or any other weather mod? I don't think ENB as such has an effect on the vanilla DOF, but since the DOF settings are set in the image space settings, chances are that any weather mods loaded after Exaggerated Depth of Field will overwrite the settings, possibly disabling DOF. Also make sure bDoDepthOfField is set to 1 in SkyrimPrefs.ini.
I think it is all presets at the moment. Not sure when things changed but I'm guessing when I switched to 119 maybe ... lost the ability to run the separate dof mod from the nexus. I just decided to go with the prepass dof from enb but after a while I started missing my old static DOF ... I feel like it gives more of an illusion of depth somehow. I did also start using COT but I tried disabling it and that didn't seem to make a difference. I also tried loading Exagerated Depth of Field after COT and again no difference. I will double check bDoDepthOfField for sure.

Thanks for all the advice!

Re: TES Skyrim

Has anyone else had problems with AA, SMAA, FXAA actually working with the 121212 and .126 versions. When I have those two dlls in I have terrible texture shimmering due to the fact that all AA is turned off by the enb. I have enabled it through nvidia inspector, the launcher, even turned them off and tried to use SMAA and FXAA through the ENB. It of course works perfect when I use .119. I would love the extra optimizations. Thanks

Boris thanks for the 0.125 and the 0.126 interface implementation, you save me a lot of time :D
@All: Some of yours configuration remain for me a mystery, impressive nothing more to say.

Doesn't CoT overwrite anything that RL does? Also, don't OLSE and RL conflict? Can you provide a link to the polo enb, I cannot find it.

Re: TES Skyrim

How would OLSE comflict with Realistic Lighting? RL make changes to the weathers and imagespaces while OLSE modfies the lights that is cast from a candle stick, totally different mods and will not cause any conflicts.

COT uses alot of new imagespaces and weaterhs but also some vanilla so yes RL and COT won't work very well together.
