Re: TES Skyrim

I also wanted to share some screenshots of my settings that I use. It is based on Kalocila's work, I used to play with his BETA 29 version. I didn't quite like his later versions (sorry Kalocila!) because the contrast which made his previous work so good were gone. I use ENB BETA 126 to edit the settings using his new GUI, which rocks and made this all understandable for me. But I play with ENB BETA 119 because that saves me around 30 FPS at 2560x1440 (which I play Skyrim at)...

I'm usually a user of ENB mods by other people, thank you for that btw! But sadly none of the other shared mods quite cut it for me, for some the days are great but the nights and dungeon's are too dark to be playable. For others the days are too dull and the nights too light. The only one that suited me best was Kalocila BETA 29, but the problem with that was you needed a torch in every dungeon to see all the loot. So I fixed that, along with some Lenz Reflection settings, more bloom, brighter fires. The problem in the old BETA 29 was it didn't have adaption of light (which the human eye does in real life) and it having a very very low Ambient Light setting. I get a steady 50-60 FPS with this, so I didn't go all out on everything to make it playable at my insane resolution with all the settings at highest (no AA, but FXAA enabled).

Tell me what you think, and if Kalocila is fine with it. I will share it with everyone, although it might have some bugs that I will iron out along my playthrough. Remember, they are just some quick screenshots that I took! And all the credits go to Kalocila for the base!

Re: TES Skyrim

It's been awhile, so a couple of quick ones - early dawn, still somewhat too thick colors for my taste though. The sky's a placeholder for now.

Looking great! Nice and crispy, just the way I like it! So is the bald girl a test character, or is she your actual character you are playing in game with?
Me personally, I don't think I could play through with a bald girl, just preference though. My characters on here have mostly been test ones. I have only had about 3 or 4 actual characters I spent time creating. That was a long time ago though.

@FricoRico - I'm envious of your resolution you play at. Looks great by the way. My only suggestion would be to resize your screenshots to a more common resolution for those of us who prefer not having to scroll across the monitor to view your shots. They look great, but it's hard to judge them when I can't see the entire shot at once. Can't wait until I can afford a Dell 30' or Apple 27'!!!

Thanks, you're too good. I have to admit I had a bit of a lapse of faith at some point and lost focus, but I think I'm on a right track again.

She was actually my 'real' character a long time ago, but since the hair replacers I know of make the characters look like Barbie dolls and have huge intensities dialed in for pretty much everything when compared to vanilla hair (and they just look plain shitty, so no-go), I ended up having no hair at all, hehe. It also helps to see the facial details and lighting. Anyway, when I'm just enjoying the game I usually use a hood, like this:

Nice collection of new shots from you a couple of pages back, by the way. I envy the clean look which I don't seem to be able to combine with the aesthetics I'm looking for, I always end up increasing saturation and contrast more than I need but I guess you can't win them all...

Re: TES Skyrim

@mindflux As always I love the colorful work you have!

@far327 I will try and resize them as we speak. I also made a lot of new big changes to the adaption level an reflection/bloom in some interior environments. In Dragonsreach for example everything seems to bee TOO bloomed, so I took it down a notch by carefully playing around with all the environment/bloom values, so it looks good anywhere. I will share them soon!

Well, you're definitely on the right path IMO. Looks amazing! I can't take to much credit if any at all for my shots though. PoloENB is a gem and his custom fog .esp file is probably the main culprit for the clean look, that and SweetFX does a nice job of balancing the contrast and gamma. He also has some tweaked texture and mesh files that fix some of the small bugs ENB can produce with a few objects. One of which is jewelry case glass. If you ever do release your config, I would be hard pressed not to switch over to it. I also noticed your grass and flora is very green. Care to share what mods you are using to get that effect? i have a hunch I know them, but there are quite a few out now which do sorta the same thing. Yours looks very nice :)

Nice shot with green plants, looks much more attractive for me instead of vanilla colors of leaves. What the mod is that?
