Thanks! I'll see if I can test it out this evening. I'll follow up with similar comparison shots

Code: Select all

Effects included:

* SMAA Anti-aliasing : Anti-aliases the image using the SMAA technique - see http://www.iryoku.com/smaa/
* LumaSharpen : Sharpens the image, making details easier to see
* Bloom : Makes strong lights bleed their light into their surroundings
* HDR : Mimics an HDR tonemapped look
* Technicolor : Makes the image look like it was processed using a three-strip Technicolor process - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technicolor
* Cineon DPX : Makes the image look like it was converted from film to Cineon DPX. Can be used to create a "sunny" look.
* Lift Gamma Gain : Adjust brightness and color of shadows, midtones and highlights (avoids clipping)
* Tonemap : Adjust gamma, exposure, saturation, bleach and defog. (may cause clipping)
* Vibrance : Intelligently saturates (or desaturates if you use negative values) the pixels depending on their original saturation.
* Curves : Contrast adjustments using S-curves.
* Sepia : Sepia tones the image - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sepia_tone#Sepia_toning
* Vignette : Darkens the edges of the image to make it look more like it was shot with a camera lens. - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vignetting )
* Dither : Applies dithering to simulate more colors than your monitor can display. This lessens banding artifacts - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dithering#Digital_photography_and_image_processing )
* Splitscreen : Enables the before-and-after splitscreen comparison mode.
I use SweetFX. There are many great features that compliment ENB configurations.
It has high quality post process effects IMO. Better than FXAA injectors.
SMAA, LumaSharpen, Tonemap, Vibrance and Curves are my personal favorites.
Using just the defaults of those 5 effects really makes for an improvement.
I don't think I could go without the Tonemap and Curves effects now.

Just tried these and I love the effect. Thanks!
Also, I tried using HDR and it makes a pleasure to look at the sunlit sky. Gorgeous.

Re: TES Skyrim

I also use the SweetFX and as Far327 I don't think I can run without those enhancments anymore :P hehe. But really it does add some nice effects to all the great effects that comes with ENB from the get go :)

@ far327

Do that and see if it has improved, the thing I did was add the same stuff as the Dawnguard patch does and changed all Markarth interiors to dungeons. Just renamed Markarth interior imagespace to dungeon so the RL patcher will apply Dungeon settings instead of Interior settings, should look the same if you haven't done any customization with the patcher. And make sure if you have done any changes to re-patch with the new file or the new settings won't take effect until you do so.

@ FogGene

Here is the settings you should tweak to get similar effect as I did

- Bloom
- Sun intensity
- Sun rays intensity
- Cloud edge Clamp and intensity settings
- Use both Vanilla and ENB bloom together, creates a nice looking bloom.

I also don't use a sun glare texture because ENB adds a dynamic one which doesn't shine through objects as the vanilla sun glare does. But I'm having trouble with it not showing up forgot what was causing it :P hehe

Re: TES Skyrim

Nice busy tread this has becomed (yoda voice)

Tried editing using the ingame enb menu, and it rocks for sure. And for the first time I managed to get something out of skylighting, in a matter of a few minutes.. Just had to bump ambient light way up, which then destroid the contrast between ambient and direct light.. But that's where adaptation comes in, exept that feature doesn't work with skyrealism, argh!

Anyway. I've downloaded sweetfx, even though I hate the idea of making people copy over alot of junk when they use my enb.. I tried it on borderlands and farcry using jim2's setting. It's very nice! I just can't toggle it on and off using the insert key. Can someone help here? How do I toggle it on and off?

Btw. I just saw the hobbit, and it's truly a sight to behold. The lighting is so damn sweet in that movie. Peter jackson is one of the best when it comes to shooting night scenes. I was blown away by the looks of this movie. SO inspiring!! And 3D + 48fps = epic win! Go see it now!
