Re: TES Skyrim SE

Good stuff Rudy, been testing out your pre-release version.

One thing I've noticed is that the ENB Environment - Specularity settings don't seem to have any affect on the landscape (yes editing custom weathers, or even with custom weathers off).

So when it's raining, the objects get higher specularity, but the landscapes do not.

Is this some kind of ENB bug?

Re: TES Skyrim SE

Many objects in the game dont have specular properties, it's not mod bug.

Re: TES Skyrim SE

If i understand you correctly, landscape textures do not respond to ENB specularity because they are classed as objects under the 'Terrain' folder. These landscape 'objects' do not have the specular flag enabled.

If I were to enable specularity on all 3000 or so terrain meshes (BTR format), would they then respond to ENB?

It's confusing at first because normal maps on landscape textures do seem to have specularity.

Re: TES Skyrim SE

Ababmer -- I can't fix this. It's just like Boris said, many meshes in game have the specular flag disabled, also many textures have a bad specular map. I corrected it in a dozen or so cases, but in general it is unfixable for a normal users, too many mods that change both meshes and textures.

Re: TES Skyrim SE

Changed a few hundred meshes which lacked specular. Thousands of entries.
But for terrain a script that would do it, is the better way it seems.

Re: TES Skyrim SE

Regrading specular, decided to check some terrain areas which not handled by the mod, but similar ones have specular. They have shader bug, that's why mod considered they dont have specular at all. I'll try to fix it and hope game pass proper parameters, not random.

Re: TES Skyrim SE

That sounds great Boris.

Just had an idea for a nice mod.
Jorrvaskr has its own interior set.
So the interior window set could get its own cubemap.
Which should look really nice.
This works for some other buildings, too.
