Re: TES Skyrim

Folks, which features of the mod are the most useless? For example temporal antialiasing.

Re: TES Skyrim

I really like temporal antialiasing. I don't have enough power to use other antialiasing options, so it is a welcome feature. Another question: Does someone know if there is a DOF or if it is possible to write a DOF which will blur more with raising distance? In reality you will see an object in 1 km quite good but in 5 km it becomes a silhouette. All DOF's that I tested begin with a blur at a specific distance and will blur everything behind with the same amount of blur.

Re: TES Skyrim

Boris, I've never used temoral AA, so for me it is the most useless feature :).

Is it posibble to have something like AmbientColorFilter for all other colors like DirectLighting, PointLighting, Particles, Fire, .....?

Re: TES Skyrim

I don't think color filter for everything worth it, much better to force parameter instead of modify it by multiplication, but it's another story.

Re: TES Skyrim

Boris
I use temporal aa occasionally, as it can help some screenshots get that last little bit of AA they need. I realize motion is kinda the point but it helps still shots too. Transparency AA, on the other hand, I have no use for. It's effectiveness is too random and generally looks odd. I know its true use comes when enabling hardware AA but I don't think anyone really uses hardware AA with ENB these days... Aside from that I'd have to look through the parameters again and opine then.

I don't use temporal anti-aliasing. also transparency AA is not worth the performance hit

Re: TES Skyrim

maybe RAIN Enable Antialiasing (never gets used by any ENB i know of, supersampling does though)
can't think of anything else that could be stripped down.
