@aal Thank you for your very pedagogic explination. I have thought about those parameters all wrong! I will try again and see what results I get. The pictures your posted was gave a great example of what the effect does @Symphonicjohn I will use those settings to begin with and cross-reference with aal's ones and find my own sweet-spot. I'll post a screenshot or two of the results I get later! Nice pictures as usual everyone. |

Great shots all, hope the holiday was kind to everyone. ![]() ![]() Adjusting some values and a little editing of the cloud mesh and I've got the horizon shadow line back. ![]() ![]()

Great to hear I'm not the only one resorting to mesh editing. I figured it would be possible to add back the horizon shadowing by altering the cloud mesh. |

Yeah, don't really know what I'm doing I just opened it up in nifskope and lowered/extended the bottom of the fog layer enough to close up the break that had appeared in the last update. Whatever works I guess. Here's the edited mesh for anyone who wants to play around with it. https://app.box.com/s/x118u4dkqb3e3rrj4l2b Though the desired effect requires some specific values for it to work right; 0 or near 0 direct light at night, high alpha value for the 28th cloud layer in the CK for all times except day (I think I have mine at 3.00), and time of day sunset and sunrise times have to be set to turn on direct light at the right time (too early/late and the light comes from underneath the cloud band.) I may have altered sunrise and sunset times too in the CK. |

aal --> WOW!!! Damn!! I love your first picture with Talos!!! Looks so True!!! And thanks for your comment on my screenshots, really appreciate!!! WoodsOfYpres --> Great screenshots dude, your preset looks really nice, but... Just a suggestion; The objects & vegetations (look like the mushrooms pic) are too bright and Bloomed!! This is NOT a Criticism, Just an Observation!! |
