Thanks mate, what does that specifically achieve? A slow-mo type of effect for things? cause its very hard to capture some of the movements that happen so fast, I have just been trying to hit ' at the correct time of the animations, which is awfully hard to do.

I am so keen to try out your latest config tomorrow as well! I will be back to posting screenshots then, YAY. thanks for your help!

Realistic lighting is installed. So far I have my settings looking pretty much the same.

Next step is... making it better :)

2 questions

Maybe this has already been answered?

1. My shadows are extremely square and ugly to look at. I have set the shadowmapresolution to 4096 both primary and secondary, and shadow distance to 6000, and it still looks like shit, I mean really shit, shadows looks like they are from a 8bit game. Am I missing something here? I have made these changes in skyrimprefs.ini How else can I improve the shadows?

2. Is there a way to make days go by slower? And when I say days I mean everything, days, nights, dusk, and dawns. Just feels like I go into a store, sells some stuff and when I come out, its already night. Is there some secret line I can put in a ini file somewhere to make time go by slower?

And Trillville, you better stop what you are doing, and release that bad boy right now ;) Your settings looks unbelievable. And you have a great eye for composition in a image. Keep posting images, and youtube videos. I know it takes long time to upload, but just go shopping or something in the meantime :) As we all know. Videos say more than a thousand pictures ;)

@kalicola:
Definitely may answer the second question you asked: there is a console command that regulates the speed of timecircle. Open the console with ~ key and input "set timescale to #", where # is multiplyer value. It'd 20 by default, but you can lowering it, for example to 1 and get a "real time" time flowing.
As for shadows, try to set video quality to "ultra" in game launcher before making in tweaks in ini. files. There is plenty of shadow LOD-related parameters there, besides shadowmapresolution. Or you may search for already tweaked skyrimprefs.ini in skyrimnexus forum and compare it with yours.

@kalicola: Not much you can do about the shadows, they will always look blocky :/ And there is a command to change the timescale. It's "set timescale to" For example if you want that for every minute in rl 10 minutes pass ingame, (by default it's 20) then enter this "set timescale to 10".
Decided to start a complete (some parts are still from my older one, but there is not much left of it) new config. I'm quite happy with the nights dusk/daws for now. There is still a lot left to do, but it's coming along.
Some night and dusk/dawn shots:

This time I will go for a bit more realism compared to my previous settings. My main focus atm is to get realistic colors and keep a cold feel to the whole image as I notcied that sunny days often look like warm spring like days although Skyrim is supposed to be a very cold place. I'm also trying to get brighter nights without it looking unrealistic, because Skyrim has huge (2?) moons, which should normaly emitt quite a lot of light.
Tell me what you think :)

TO ALL: I will not remove any posts with "fighting", unless it's really out of limits. But try to be less agressive, closer to the topic and discuss only what each one want to find here. Let say we are all fools, okay? :lol:

I'm hoping some of you experienced modders can help me ...

I'm using currently trying Superl3's enb config. In some indoor areas I get awesome results like this:

But then in other areas I get TERRIBLE, washed out, overly-lit scenes like the one below. Any ideas why? Or how I might fix this?

That's just how the config is set up, I presonaly can't undestand the hype about it, as I think there are much better ones out there.
But you can take a look into the enbeffect.fx, but I don't know what post processing type this config uses, but it looks like HD6's one, just with very high brightness values.

If it is HD6's post process, then look for the #ifdef USEBLOOM section in enbeffect, then find "r2+=" and set it lower (thx trillville for this tip :)). This will ofcourse also change the way interiors look, you'll need to find a balance you can live with.
Edit: If you get the exteriors to look the way you want them to, but the interios get too dark, then alter the ambient light(the night ones) values, this should compenaste for the darkness, but it will also brighten up the nights.

p.s.: are you the same haints as the one on GTAF?

@ENBSeries: Sounds like a deal :D

Thanks for responding, T.A.Z!

It's hard for me to believe the config is just supposed to be that way, if only because none of the screens I've seen posted for it look like the second one I linked to, and I can't understand why one interior would have near perfect looking lighting IMO and then another looks just awful ... I know it is very hard to balance enb for all environments and lighting conditions, but the difference I'm seeing just seems way off somehow ...

Yes I am the same haints as the one on GTAF, though I don't post there anymore. I had to quit GTA IV because I got so obsessed with modding it that I wasn't really playing it anymore or actually enjoying it anymore ... I'm trying not to let that happen with Skyrim, but searching for and/or tweaking that perfect config can be such an addiction ....

Well that explains your sudden disappearance :D But to be honest I don't think it will be all that different with Skyrim... chances are it will be worse, when it comes to modding there is no comparable game series. TES just beats them all, this community is amazing and the flood of mods will grow everyday, so now you have the enb addiction + the constant urge of checking for new mods that get released.
Oh and about the config I will download it again and play a bit with it, but last time I did I deinstalled it after 5 mins because I just didn't like it, but maybe there is truly something wrong and it looks different on your sys then it should.
