Guys, I was wondering, what with all the hard-fought insights you've all gained into the workings of enbseries.ini, and the effects and shader files, wouldn't it be good if we tried to come up with some sort of a repository for helpful tips on tweaking the buggers? Something like an annotated set of files, or maybe some google docs that we could edit, and others could view? Or maybe you even have a better idea?

It's quite possible that there's no shared drive to do this and that my fumbling and trial-and-error, blind manipulations of the files are the only real motivation for doing something like this, but I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in pitching in. All the helpful tips that are scattered in this thread would be a gold-mine for anyone, new or experienced, if they were just easily accessible.

Good idea, how about adding a ENB tweaking page to the mod wiki?

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Mods:Skyrim_Mods

Or a complete own wikia:

http://www.wikia.com/Special:CreateNewWiki?uselang=en

Edit: @haints, just tested it and it looks more or less like the screenshots you've posted. I guess it is supposed to look that way :(

Isn't a wiki-page going to mean a whole lot more work? I'm not adept at editing those, and I don't know if you can just dump the text of a whole file in there. I was aiming for a way in which you could just maybe copy an entire page and use it as a base of your own. I've always really like those little messages HD6 put in his files. Something like that, but editable by anyone who can add something to the mix (I know I would be of little use myself).

How about http://pastebin.com/ ? But doing it this way will also make it less organized, thats why I suggested a wiki. But ofcourse a wiki would be a lot more work, quite a dilemma :D

Something like this? http://pastebin.com/jfK7zenn

I've started a little bit, just for example. I've set it to private, which means you have to have a pastebin account to edit it. This is just the enbseries.ini (v1.2)
Should we empty all the values? Or leave very common settings enabled?

EDIT: wait, this back-and-forth has no place here in the Gallery section. It's just... I'm afraid that when I open a thread for it someplace else, I'll loose any possible input of any of you who could be interested. So before I take this further, please chime in if you think this is a good idea. If so, I can open a new thread for it.

Like I said, I think it's a good idea, I'm in.

Edit: Will have a look at the file in a few secs. And I think it's ok if we leave the standard ivalues in, new users would have some kind of reference value then.

@haints: The issue you're having is because some of the interior spaces in the game use daytime settings. You can get some of the interiors to use night-time settings by fiddling with the daytime detector, but not all, or at least I haven't succeeded in it. Because of this, you have to accept that some of the interiors will look like crap or come up with compromised daytime settings that work for interiors as well.

Stupid me, I thought the second shot was taken at an exterior location

No worries, I just happened to be all too familiar with the issue because I'm struggling with it myself right now :D This forum is all about helping each other, and all tips and hints are useful.

Like the direction you're going with your WIP config, by the way.

I don't recommend to write wiki at this moment, because the mod is done on half only.
