Great sense of composition triville, keep it up. Testing out 20+ weather conditions in Riften to check if i nailed good daylight value. I'm not easily amazed by graphics in video games, but i must admit sometimes i'm blown away by Skyrim. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Working on my own setting, based on Techuser's long ago. Thanks Tech, and about everyone here for the very high quality inspiration ! I'm also working on an outside fog reducing mod (the one on the Nexus is too harsh), but those screenshots don't use it yet. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Started using a sharpen effect ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm very happy with the lighting as it seems the most challenging to get mid day lighting correct. Let me know where there is room for improvement guys. Awesome work. It's just opinion, but I would ratchet back the grain and the contrast and try to push a little more color in. haints wrote: Superl3, since you're posting here, can you tell me if your config is supposed to look like this? Many environments look great, but then places like Helgen Keep look a little washed out, as shown in the screenshot below ... The shot you posted is in a hybrid interior which receives direct light. The good news is there are a slew of interior light fixing patches on nexus right now...so new in fact that I dont have a recommendation for you. If you have room in your exterior settings you can reduce direct lighting to get the washed out look removed (the combined light is too much for the scene). jim2point0 wrote: 1 thing that really frustrates me... the difference between sunny and cloudy boggles my mind. I use the weather trainer (press page up\page down to change weather) to test everything... and going from sunny to cloudy is crazy. Sunny is way more saturated but a little darker. Cloudy is actually brighter but a lot less saturated. I also have no idea what these do DetectorDefaultDay=false DetectorLevelDay=0.7 DetectorLevelNight=0.35 DetectorLevelCurve=1.0 Not sure what I should expect when I change them your gradient intensities (both total and top/middle/horizon) are under-powered. could you post a screen so I can comment further? the params you list above are for day/night transition mechanics. i dont know how they work, lol. |

WIP based on Jasmin's letterbox config, which rocks. Playing around with really high contrast, saturation and tone mapping.... |

Really? The Sky causes that? Here is sunny shot: ![]() Here is the same shot with cloudy weather: ![]() Just strikes me as odd that the weather condition with more light is actually darker. |
