I'm with you on this David. I would literally send $100s through PayPal to have someone like Gio or Unreal send their settings, mod list, INI, nvidia inspector settings etc. I can dream but unfortunately that's about it. Most of the users on here are not willing to share their specific settings with a few exceptions such as prOPAs and Opethfeldt. Can't say I blame them as it can take hundreds of hours to get the right settings. We just have to witness their magic and ponder how they did it and offer awe and praise.
What? What are you talking about!
People who only post screens of their configs and NEVER share them are DICKS, pure and simple.
Boris CREATED enb. HE has chosen to SHARE it with all of us for FREE.
To then take HIS creation, modify it a little bit, and REFUSE to SHARE it with everyone else is a DICK move.
We had to deal with people like that back in the GTA IV enb community, and it sucked. They would always tease everyone with these incredible looking shots, but in the end no one else got a chance to try their configs (maybe because they didn't actually look all that great to begin with).
It doesn't cost anybody ANYTHING to share their config. It doesn't take away from the amount of work they put into it. It doesn't hurt them in any way. If you just want to gather envy and praise for your config, but never share it, then you are an asshole. Period.
I'm not talking about people who don't want to release their configs while they're still a WIP. That makes perfect sense to me ... though I do wonder if some of these configs will ever in fact be released. I can predict that some of them will still be saying the same thing a year from now: "It's a WIP." Better maybe to release your configs sooner, even though they're not "perfect" (which they never will be.) You can always release an updated version later, which lots of cool modders do all the time.
EDIT: By the way, just off the top of my head, among the people who post screens here, Dogstar, Kalicloa, IndigoNeko, T.A.Z., far237, DrSarcasmo and Superl3 have also kindly shared their configs. All are excellent and well worth trying and I am no doubt forgetting to mention many others.
