KuroTenshi Very similar happen for my card too, but not all the time, it may work weeks fine, but then annoying me with freezes, bsods and graphic artifacts. If downclocking vram and gpu do not solve the issue, then it's probably not overheating (like my case, gpu temperature is 54 degrees by celsius, thermal paste replaced). Did you ever installed ati drivers on that pc? I know from own experience that problem may occur then and only clear windows reinstall helping. Purple textures were in first game patches, not sure if they could be counted as hardware or driver issue directly, try to decrease quality of textures and check if this artifact will go away (it may appear not so fast). |

KuroTenshi if your new 670 will be a GB WindForce one(with three coolers on top), you will, most definitely, forget about overheating. Noise levels are quite good too. |

Thank you for your answers ! I think it overheats because fans began making noise like turbines. The bizarre thing is that in others last gen games, it's working fine. But indeed, I saw remains of ATI Drivers. I'll clean them. I doesn't have anymore Purple textures, but I had when I just installed 1.8. No more actually. Uriel24, indeed it's the GB 670 Windforce 3 ^^ I want a well cooled computer (During summer it was horrible...) and quiet (I don't want the computer to prevent me to sleep...). EDIT : Tried with 306.97 WHQL. Same thing occured (fans became crazy) but this time CTD instead of freeze. Cool, no need to kill the game myself. Ok, so I think buying a new pc was a good idea ^^'. I guess playing with a very improved Skyrim is part of my Christmas's presents. I'll be waiting. Thank you Boris to be part of my Christmas ^^ The good point is 310.70 seems stable. |

@KuroTenshi - I had the exact same issues you are describing. I am still using v306.97 and ENBv 0.123 The issue did not occur when using v0.119. I cannot confirm any versions in between that as I didn't use them. Have you tried 121212 yet? I was under the impression that Boris was working to fix said overheating issues. |

So, 121212 reduces my frame rate issues in my huge graphics ENB I went from having 40-45 to 50-53 just from going to 121212 from .119 edit: also no GPU issues or anything |

@far327 : I tried with 121212 too. Same issue. Indeed, when i used 0.119, it didn't occur. But 121212 is a lot faster than 0.119 and 0.123. |

Versions with deffered render use more video memory and much more agressive, so it's gpu/vram fault or out of vram bug, classic issue in this game |

I think indeed it's an issue with Skyrim. Seems to crash when we are short in memory rather than slow down. I am wondering if some softs like attk can include of VRAM usage optimization. To make so much noise, I think my video card is in fault too. |

And i think that's a videocard manufacturer's fault. For example, furmark was burning videocards for some time until they integrated a furmark-limiter into the drivers. Same story here. |
