@far327: I think it was interesting for you to do this experiment, but what kind of use in it? Yes it looks more sharper in details without SGSS, but still the original textures are so crappy that it will hurt you even more in upscaled res. So it'll be kinda reasonable when all textures will be replaced with better ones. |

Some pics using a customized version of Jasmine Mod 3.3 DoF. I try to keep it pretty mellow, not a blur-festival This is from my Pure ENB 103F release. ![]() ![]()

Trust me, you are not getting the most out of your video hardware/monitor. I forgot, but I actually had Skyrim HD textures loaded for those screens. Though, the point wasn't to show pretty shots. The point was to show how downsampling can improve image quality. If you don't feel it's something you want to try, that's cool. |

far327 - Oh yeah your SGSS shots are impressive Also, what kind of frame rates are you getting ? You certainly have a beast of a rig |

Tried the downsampling using the ini and windowed, didint work, my game crash when the map finish to load. The other method is for nvidia only i guess. Here are some at native res using 4xmultisample with adaptive (for transparency) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Guys Stop using downsampling , it's really not worth a massive performance hit. The first thing I tried in Skyrim was downsampling through custom resolution in Nvidia Control Panel I love this method and using it in some games when it's possible, you can even call me downsampling whore, but Skyrim is not that game to use this method, SGSSAAx2 with in game MultiSample=2 is enough to clean jugged edges and not to blur the whole image. All my pics based on this settings and you won't notice any jugged lines in them. |

@Gionight - My rig seems to handle downsampling just fine. I still get solid 52FPS when downsampled at 3360x2100 and SGSS 2x2. (3360x2100 runs for me at 52hz) I had to sacrifice Nvidia AO, but I don't miss it really. The extra detail the higher rendering brings out is worth it. I'm going for a more natural look anyway. These were resized from 3360x2100 so not to cripple bandwidth here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks pretty much the same as if sharpen was added for me, I really don't see advantage for the cost of it |
