Could anybody post some comparison images? I won't be able to download the hi-res pack for quite a long time.

Re: Skyrim - Hi-res texture pack with CK release

Lol somehow, with a graphical (non antifreeze) ENB series enabled and this new texture pack, the game becomes completely unplayable. Good job Bethesda!

OT: The difference is minor, some stuff is still blurry, but the changes are there. It's minor though. Modder made textures will still look better, but it's like a "decent base" vs whatever was originally ported on release.

Whats Your pc? Maybe You don't have enought vram (I red somewhere that new textures are 4x bigger than original), if the vram is the limit, You can experience such extreme slowdowns. If You have low amount of vram You could try reduce the MSAA or resolution.

Re: Skyrim - Hi-res texture pack with CK release

1 GB is not enough. It will be funny to see a lot of posts from angry users now, because bugthesda did not fixed their bugs and we still playing same game as with 4gb patch, just quality of lods decreased, so hi-res textures return the limit back to "visible".
