Re: TES Skyrim v0.105 BETA performance test

Hi Boris had a question for u or anyone who can answer, is it better to use skyrim Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic filtering or that of ATI/Nvidia when using enb, also do u enable disable skyrim's FXAA? :?

Re: TES Skyrim v0.105 BETA performance test

Skyrim antialiasing garantee to work with ENBSeries, but in drivers it is not. Anisotropic filtering in game do not cost any performance, but better to enable built in the mod, it's not affect performance also, but NVidia or ATI will decrease speed of SSAO (thanks god parallax is not implemented in game, otherwise forcing anisotropic filtering will be impossible at all for playable performance). I'm using game FXAA a bit modified to fix blurring for non edges, not using antialiasing, because game going to BSOD with it after some seconds or minutes.

Re: TES Skyrim v0.105 BETA performance test

All I can say is "wow." There's no FPS hit in this version and I'm even forcing SSAO through my nVidia drivers. My uGridsToLoad is set to 9 and I'm using the high-res texture packs from Bethesda. Still, ENB performs as well as vanilla Skyrim. Thank you!

@Jaguar

There was a great deal of discussion about alternative anti-aliasing methods in the thread for version 0.104. There are some very helpful links for different forms of AA. I would link the page that it's on, but I think it was talked about a great deal. There are third-party FXAA and SMAA downloads available, as well as explanations of the differences between the two. You can even just run a Google search for "FXAA by some dude" or "SMAA by mrhaandi" and you should come up with some results.

Hope that helps you further!

Re: TES Skyrim v0.105 BETA performance test

Boris I had an idea. Is there any chance you might be able to separate the boolean variables for enb series into one file, and then separate the user settings into another and have enb series read the user configs? This way people could just swap in and out user configs, and your core changes can be separate. Like for example, in enbseries.ini you would have these settings:

Code: Select all

[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=false
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=other_d3d9.dll

[GLOBAL]
AdditionalConfigFile=userconfig.ini
UseEffect=true

[FIX]
ForceSingleCoreCPU=false
IgnoreThreadManagement=false
IgnoreThreadPriority=false
AntiBSOD=false

[MULTIHEAD]
ForceVideoAdapterIndex=false
VideoAdapterIndex=0

[LIMITER]
WaitBusyRenderer=false
EnableFPSLimit=false
FPSLimit=30.0

[INPUT]
//back
KeyReadConfig=8
//shift
KeyCombination=16
//f12
KeyUseEffect=123
//home
KeyFPSLimit=36
//num /       106
KeyShowFPS=106
//insert
KeyScreenshot=45

[ENGINE]
ForceAnisotropicFiltering=false
MaxAnisotropy=16
SkipShaderOptimization=false

[EFFECT]
UseOriginalPostProcessing=false
EnableBloom=true
EnableAdaptation=true
EnableAmbientOcclusion=false
EnableDepthOfField=false
And then everything afterwards like BLOOM, CameraFX, SSAO_SSIL, etc, that come from people's user configs in a separate "EnbUserConfigs.ini" file, or something?

Then people can toggle the boolean values in enbseries to true/false based on performance or that specific user config, and then enb series will just read from the other config file.
This might help on performance a bit too maybe? If for example, SSAO is disabled, then the SSAO code would never need to be read.

But excuse me if I'm talking nonsense/not making any sense.

By the way your work on EnbSeries has always been great, I'm really glad you are sharing your work with all of us! Thanks again!

Eh? What needs to be changed for it to work?

Re: TES Skyrim v0.105 BETA performance test

Re: TES Skyrim v0.105 BETA performance test

:roll:

По поводу оптимизации, ФПС подпрыгнул в некоторых местах аж на 15 :P :P :D , но просадки всерано есть без енб на порядок быстрей работает, вы будите еще заниматься оптемизайцией? есть ли смысл ждать?
