Re: TES Oblivion 0.165

Thank you so much for working on this!

I was using the very first iteration that was possible to, with Oblivion, years ago. It took a lot of tweaking to make it "usable", but I loved it anyway. Very glad to see it turning out as it should. Can't wait to see what's possible now!

I will try this version in just a moment, and if I can manage to take some good screenshots, I will post them if that's okay.

Re: TES Oblivion 0.165

Hi there,

First off, thanks very much for returning to this game, I use ENB series for GTA and Skyrim so having it for Oblivion is very exciting. I've been using OBGE for a long time, and while ENB doesn't have some of the crazy shader hook features of that mod, it provides a massive improvement to the game's visuals at a fraction of the performance cost of OBGE, which is awesome!

I am having a small bug however. If I enable the 'Sky' section of enbseries.ini, I get an issue where the game's skydome seems to clip in front of geometry, so that cloud textures are rendering on top of buildings, mountains, trees etc. Is anyone else having this issue? I'm using a completely fresh install of Oblivion, and my graphics card is an nvidia gtx 580 in case that's important.

Anyway, thanks very much for showing a bit of love for this old game!

I didn't changes to z-buffer state in sky rendering, only shaders replaced. It's something with game ini modified or it's shaders, mod designed for vanilla game presets.

Damn, can't install hgec and faces, game ignore them. In the past i used tools for fast installation and other user's made utils, but i can't install them as they are prohibited software. No inspiration when looking at ugly faces in crappy blotchy clothes.

Re: TES Oblivion 0.165

Hi Boris,

In your Oblivion.ini, try setting bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

This should allow the game to recognize the 'newer' textures/meshes you install (i.e. HGEC)

It's already set. Even tried mod archiveinvalidator with SArchiveList modification, but no luck.
