Re: TES Skyrim v0.103 Injector BETA

Hello.
I wanted to say a couple of things:
First of all, what's up with v105? I downloaded it, it has almost no FPS impact, but almost no picture quality impact either. It makes some shadows on the rocks more "shadowy". It also modifies the sky like the original did. But that is it.
All the colours, the amazing interior lighting and all that are gone. Problem is: the FPS improvement was really huge. Does almost everything have to be sacrificed to achieve that performance? Is that why you stopped development?
I have reverted to the old renderer now. I am using Confident ENB, Natural setting. The performance hit on that one is insane. Normally I run the game on 80 FPS on Ultra with my GTX 460, OCd and Intel i7-2600, but with the old renderer I get 30 at best WITHOUT SSAO on. My settings in-game are:
Textures: High
Shadows: High
Radial Blur: Medium
Decals: Ultra
AA: Off
Antiosotrpic: 8x
FXAA: on
1920x1080
So the main question is: Is it possible to create something that would run better but actually make the difference?
Because that is the difference between 105, Vanilla and 102, ConfidentENB:
Vanilla setting
Vanilla setting
ENB 105 settings, no changes were made
ENB 105 settings, no changes were made
ENB 102, settings from ConfidentENB, Natural preset
ENB 102, settings from ConfidentENB, Natural preset
Can you tell any difference between the first 2? I certainly can't.
Other graphics mods other than textures are:
Realistic Lighting
More Dynamic Lights

Re: TES Skyrim v0.103 Injector BETA

Seems only for me 0.105 works well, except depth of field and ssao. Anyway, it's not supported any more, because i can't find any information about specific hack for NVidia cards used by game, so development of optimized version for NVidia is doomed (for effects which need scene depth). Don't have ATI card yet, so may be i'll reverse to version 0.104 without much optimizations, but support for any videocard.

Re: TES Skyrim v0.103 Injector BETA

Boris, before you scrap 105.

It seems to run fine for me. I was running version 102 which was great but at level 42 in Skyrim I started experiencing slow frame rates.

I installed 105 and removed the old 102 files as you suggested including the DX9 file and the slowdown has gone, the game runs as well as before and doesn't look any different (maybe I have poor eyesight), it looks great, even the shadows seem normal, if they aren't it wasnt noticeable.

I'm running Windows 7 pro, Nvidia GTX 275 with the Nvidia Skyrim beta drivers, I have also enabled all the effects withing the nvidia control panel.

Re: TES Skyrim v0.103 Injector BETA

Just an update: installed 106
Seems to make no difference in terms of graphical improvements either. that said, sky does look better, and some lighting it better too. A bit sad that no old presets work with this. The one I use the most is Atmospheric ENB by PMind, which is IMO the best one, so I can't say how much the picture has changed from vanilla. But compared to 102 with PMind's preset the difference is huge. 106 default runs with almost no FPS drop (1-2). Atmospheric runs on 28 outdoors, 40 indoors (which is about 50% fps drop), but looks gorgeous.
I use Nvidia GTX460 by ASUS. All Nvidia driver settings are tweaked according to Boris's recommendation. So why am I getting such a small picture quality change? It's not 105 anymore.
PS: Run as admin, disable antivirus, yadda, yadda, I know these basic steps.

megakoresh
I wrote in readme_en.txt all the changes. Version 0.102-0.106 almost not have visual difference (except bugs) and performance. Versions 0.105 and 0.106 are unsupported, they are for testing.

Re: TES Skyrim v0.103 Injector BETA

ENBSeries wrote:If you have previously installed d3d9.dll of ENBSeries, remove it, because enbseries.dll is now used. Don't try to use other libraries for injection, they are not designed for this.
So enbseries.dll is not just a renamed d3d9.dll?
It is not possible to take the d3d9.dll from for example 1.02, call it enbseries.dll and use it then instead of original enbseries.dll?
