Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.225
Amd will not fix bug, ever, they do this after months only for huge projects or in weeks for games which have logo "best play with amd graphics". And how much time should i repeat the same thing, changes in 0.179 compared to 0.173 is only multiple render target rendering, depth buffer INTZ format is supported by amd cards 2xxx-8xxx. DRIVER CAN NOT FAIL FROM WRONG D3D COMMANDS, if it is not driver bug.

Then get help from other people, as I suggested. Maybe there is a workaround that you don't know of.
And as far as I can tell, you haven't contacted AMD either, nor have you posted on their forum about the problem and the problem part of your code.

Could you at least try to ask him politely instead of being so demanding? Boris, I think you are have done a great job with NV/F3. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be playing this game still.FiftyTifty wrote:Then get help from other people, as I suggested. Maybe there is a workaround that you don't know of.

i don't see why Boris should contact AMD, You should do that Nifty-fifty, not Boris.
You have a problem with a driver and refuse to understand how the chain of information works.
stop bugging people with nonsense, go bug AMD.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.225
...What don't you understand?
If it really is a bug with the drivers, then how would I, the end user of a compiled .dll file, be able to provide any information as to what is causing it?
Boris, on the other hand, appears to be the only software developer having this issue with the HD 7000 series. And he has the source code.
And yes, I've contacted AMD via the forums. And guess what? Since I'm just an end user that DOES NOT HAVE THE SOURCE CODE, all it is, is just rambling and echoing what I've been told.
Understand?

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.225
First, i will not fuck up my hard drives like my friend did when tested by request on amd card, reseting pc on each shader compilation stage, amd 6xxx and below just freeze system instead of return error, i'm still in own mind. Second, my test card is dead and it wasn't from 7xxx series, cheapest 7xxx in local shops are starting from ~$80, i will be complete idiot to buy another one ready to die card in the box without any chance to return money back. If you don't understand that all modern cards models have same features, it's not my problem, but stop bothering me as i will not do anything to nonsense by all means.

@Finkle dinkle
you would be better of learning to read your logfiles and running debugging software instead of wasting your time here,
cause you won't solve your problem by complaining here.
you keep going on about Boris and AMD having the sourcecode, but these remarks serve no purpose at all.
It looks like you want to say you guys have the sourcecode so do something about it and quickly cause i want to play my game,
that is definitely not going to make them help you, more like the other way around.
So you say understand a few times, but all i understand is that you do not understand....a lot...
by telling AMD why the drivers crash, so they can do something about it, now if you're not knowledgable enough to get the crash information,If it really is a bug with the drivers, then how would I, the end user of a compiled .dll file, be able to provide any information as to what is causing it?

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.225
Boris, would you happen to have any idea why Fallout:NV crashes with a d3d9.dll error with the dll but works with the injector?
I'm on Windows 8 here so that might be the culprit, but Skyrim for example works perfectly fine with it's d3d9.dll.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.225
Marcurios, I never once said that AMD has the source code; Boris does. He, however, can share it with other developers on the AMD forum so as to ascertain what the problem could be.
You make it sound as if I'm just trying to badger Boris into contacting AMD so I can just play my game with his software. Eh, you're slightly correct. I'm trying to get Boris to contact AMD. You're right there. But is it just so I can play my game? No; there's a problem with the code, and rather than make contact with other developers or even go on the AMD forum and discuss the issue, he's choosing to blame the end user and the brand. And leaving it at that.
I'm sure you can see why I'm asking Boris to just make contact; because he has the source code. Not you, not me.
Anyhow, Boris, I went and but Directx9 in debug mode and ran PIX. Here's the log.
Yeah, what you're going to say is "Steam is junkware you're fault". Take note that this happens with or without Steam installed. And the log stays the same sans that one line with steamapi in it.

If injector only work, it always some other software running.
FiftyTifty
Don't you tired yet? Because i am. How many times i wrote to you, huh? There is no way to do anything, except trials and errors method and i will not do this, even if it's my bug, i still can't do anything without making harm to my hardware, my time and pocket. Why AMD guys find issue, if i can do this easily without sources of the game? Probably i'm genious.
BTW log have nothing in common with my mod.
