jonwd7 wrote: I agree. I've lost count of the times Boris has cussed at people, called them idiots, morons, stupid. I am just treating Boris in kind, because he is in fact not as superior as he thinks.

Anyway, it's Transparency AA. Transparency AA is broken.

Edit: To clarify, I don't hate Boris. I do think it's a bit unfortunate the way he deals with people. If it's a cultural thing, i.e. Russians equate hostility with respect, I'm merely mirroring the way Boris treats everyone else. I respect and appreciate immensely what he does, but I'm not about to grovel at his feet in order to boost his ego.
What a loss of time.... :?
I'm sure Boris has no need for us to boost his ego, neither he does feel superior in any way.

I can confirm that he's totally able to say that he has done a mistake when he does one. Fact.
But just one thing : he owes us NOTHING.
And a second thing : there's way and way to report and to ask. And recognizing that he has much greater knowledge than us is not to grovel at his feet in any way.
Measure, it's all about.

@ Boris
Boss, does effect.txt support DNI? Or is it single-pass so it can't? Just thinking that I wanted to have sharpening in my effect.txt settings that has different values during Day, Night, Interior, etc.

NOW you see it.... NOW you dont... NO MODS SKYRIM VANILLA "smartboy" NO DLC...

only YOUR 0.229enbseries everything enabled... even with enb disabled... same thing. I guess video wasn't enough from jonwd7?

I have been following your ENBseries and wouldn't bother with this but since I encountered it my self and seeing you talk down to everyone and expect them to be idle? I guess this is how you expect things to be? really the biggest problem isn't your enb but more with your attitude. ... "smartboy?"

.txt are crossgame shaders, so I don't think it can / will handle EInterior and ENightDayFactor....
I remember Boris answering my same exact question some times ago...
Boris, correct me if I'm wrong...
Thus being said, that would be quite neat in TESV.... ;)

Run vanilla game smart boy.
??? We already established that it has nothing to do with mods. If you are so "smart" you should remember that. And as for your "Bugthesda" image, that looks like the mesh which I ALREADY FIXED for USKP, and it's one of the few that actually displays any issues in the vanilla game.

So... speak to the dozens of other meshes which display decals just fine without TRAA on. Or... If TRAA is going to break the game, just remove it.

Or just continue ridicule all of us for reporting legitimate issues.

Hmm let's see...

He's defensive. He acts like everyone is out to get him, and treats everything like a fight. He blames everyone else but himself. He literally JUST ridiculed me for saying that the latest v0229 caused water shadows to stop working, then quietly fixed it ... If anyone reports anything resembling a bug he immediately turns them away, calls them names, cusses. He resents us. He resents Skyrim. He resents "Bugthesda". He only wants praise. He scoffs at suggestions, belittles your input, then turns around and implements the very thing you suggested. I speak from personal experience with that one. It's just a way of pretending that he came up with the idea on his own.

He doesn't WANT us to report bugs. He doesn't want to face the idea he's not perfect. To report a bug is to maliciously attack his ability, I guess. So he continues to treat everyone like shit until they give up. Then he complains about a lack of bug reports, and says that it's OUR FAULT for not reporting bugs!

We can't win apparently.

....

As for your defense of him, I don't know where you are getting your "facts". He has never once admitted he was wrong, as in apologized for telling everyone else they are wrong and that the error is not his fault. Which would be fine if he hadn't lied, BSed, or placed blame on you, me, Bethesda, etc. in the process.

And you're only half right. He doesn't "owe" us ENB. He does owe us a modicum of respect for taking the time to piece together evidence of bugs/issues. None of us deserve his foul treatment. You need to GIVE respect to GET respect. To expect respect all the while treating everyone like shit is megalomaniacal. To say that we deserve such treatment because we are getting something (ENB) in the process is also megalomaniacal, and sadistic.

As for his "much greater knowledge", you are putting him on a pedestal. And in doing so it's equivalent to groveling. As for your claim, you have no idea how much knowledge I or others have. I'm not going to start boasting, but I am highly knowledgeable when it comes to advanced graphics, yet you and Boris seem to assume that no one could possibly know what they are talking about. I instead choose to make my own video games. I agree that Boris is certainly patient in dealing with and hacking the Skyrim engine, and I commend him.

No one here is taking Boris or ENB for granted, yet he acts that way via his callous resentment, and apparently also has convinced you of this too. The issue is about the way he treats everyone else. He doesn't get to be a tyrant in exchange for giving us ENB.

Gotcha ;)

And it seems there are philosophers coming on here. Interesting. Reminds me of the time when Boris first released ENBoost on Nexus

^^^^ This exactly.

Boris and I have been corresponding via PM several times.
He always took the time to respond, explain and he kindly admitted about some oversights or tiny mistakes when he ever does one. (wich not happens often).
He's human, not machine. He also has the right to be pissed off, tired and all that.
That's all about, and now water under the bridge, would you ?
Shadowed water. :D
