Well, if more people can confirm, it might be a mesh thing. Does it also matter what helmet you have on if you use the freecam?

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0257

I can confirm that wearing the Old Knight Helmet (a closed helmet) makes the AO flickering go crazy, but wearing the Black Hood (an open "helmet") eliminates a lot of it.

Also when you use the freecam CE table?

I haven't used the free cam yet (could you test it perhaps?). Also if someone you have summoned is also wearing a closed helm it will cuase flickering, even if you're wearing a open helmet.

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0257

Finally got paid and was able to buy the game legit, haven't had a single crash yet in hours awesome! The folder structure is pretty different than it was with the repack I was using prior to purchase so maybe that's why so many are crashing. Just wanted to say cheers, the torch really serves a purpose now, thanks for the time and effort man.

Oh wait, if people are crashing because they didn't buy the game, that's probably because you didn't get the update where FROM fixed all the crashing :3

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0257

There's a reason so many developers go to console first and maybe port back to Pirate City later. But yeah. It's easy to be righteous when you can afford to be.

I've tested the helmet thing, and you guys are absolutely right. Insane. Must be a mesh thing, I bet. This may be frontpage-worthy, Boris. If you can replicate it even more so. I've not many closed helmets but I bought the Alva helmet at the Majula shop, and that gave me flickering, as well as the Heide helmet.

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0257

How is this sort of thing even possible, Boris? To test this for your self, Boris, you're going to need a helmet that covers your whole head. If you don't have one, there is a merchant in Majula that will sell you one (Elite Knight Helm) after you spend 1000 souls on other stuff at his shop.

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0257

There's a cracked version of the update that fixed the hdmi crash on start which I had, it's not that but I just noticed the folder layout is totally different than what I had before and thought it worth mentioning.
