Re: TES Skyrim 0.262

Don't know, may be i can build lights list based on their positions and then allow users to modify them. If these lights do not change from weather and time, then should be simple. The main problem is that lights are split in to non shadow casters just to make some areas brighter, other are shadow casters, but they loose shadows and from my point of view work exactly the same as first type, no difference.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.262

Almost finished new version, but still need to finish some code until go to sleep, otherwise i'll forget what to do. I hate to develop something complex because of this.

Do you usually enter a state when you have no idea what you are going to do when coding? If so, what do you usually do when that happens? Taking a walk? eat something?

I guess he just "Nah, who cares" and keeps coding. :)

Hehe yeah exactly! :D
I hate when that happens tho, and then one day after when you're taking a shit, you're like... Horry shiet, why didn't I thought about that before ^^

I'm almost always in such state, because everything looks like a lot of work and i'm too lazy for that and don't want to start unless know it's important enough or when something new to me (if i started to work, then better to finish till i loose interest, that's why can't sleep). Have a big todo list, but ignore each time i'm reading it, it's just a text, because everything in it can't be made atm, i must find solutions against technical issues or they produce issues with other features from todo list. Or simply don't see any reason to develop code, for example histogram feature, it's probably good, but what to do with it? Too much time to develop (visualization is simple, but all text, buttons, various methods of reading data). When having issues with modding, i listening music, watch anime, complain about boring crappy life to everybody near by or in ICQ, do the job. Last two years changed location and almost don't go outside, simply don't know what to do and where to go if you are not in big the city. Feed hedgehogs or ducks? Or to drink and swear with African sailor cadets?

Maybe you could do a vote poll, and by that way see what other users think is most important and by that exclude those other improvements that interferes with that the users voted?
That might help your decisions some.
Personally, I don't think histogram would be of much improvement.
I think that, effects that dramatically improves the game is much better.
For example: Sun rays, They were a great addition. Same with DOF and AO.
Would it for example be possible to add light rays like this?

Again, This could be included in a vote poll if possible.

I don't know how gamebryo engine works, But I guess it's easier to add new effects than redo the already existing ones?

What anime do you watch?
My personal favourites is Attack on Titan and Naruto.
Do you work from home?
I think drinking and swear with African sailor cadets sounds awesome :D

Btw you have to see this tech demo, my god. This ray tracing o.O

Re: TES Skyrim 0.262

The "Indirect Lighting" feature is a quite challenging task Boris has embarked because Skyrim fakes it using a lightBounce light bulb. I asked about the "Indirect Lighting" feature when I noticed the ELFX mod had a light bounced off in the Solitude BluePalace floor, but it was a fake bulb placed by the ELFX mod.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2994&hilit=fable&start=110#p50135

UE4 has this feature in the game engine, but Boris is adding it without having access to the Skyrim source code. ENB is a complete graphic engine replacer IMHO.

I don't want to use polls, because users are incompetent in graphics, imagine if president and goverment will ask casuals what to do.
The rays you talking about is very hard to compute for infinite number of sources, rays for performance reasons computed in direction to light source, even two lights decrease performance twice, in case of infinite all directions blurring must be applied. And game/presets do not have bright enough sources for that, just a sun.
Anime of almost any kind, not a big fan, but sometime finding gems (mostly 15+ years old titels) which let me think that it's too early to drop industry of cliche. Keep watching One Piece, may be it will be the last one anime in my life. About favorite can't say much, may be too many of them, even if they have only something single impressive while most just a crap, because of seyuu, because of characters. Chobits, Ah My Goddess, UFO Princess Valkyrie, Angel Beats, Tenchi Muyou, Macademi Wasshoi, Bounen no Xamdou, Scrapped Princess, Slayers, Martian Successor Nadesico, Outlaw Star, xxxHolic, Nuku Nuku, Ranma, Steins Gate, Code Geass, Saber Marionette, Space Pirate Mito, Sword Art Online, hard to remember, have seen about 1000 titles. I don't know what else can replace anime, but really tired from it. You know, i lost interest to movies long time ago, because they are all the same with minor differencies, same now for me with anime  .
