Couldn't agree more..Yeah, it's a great game (from unbiased point of view ofc xD), but man, such lags and "modders will make it" completely ruins that sweet spot of joy and immersion. Yknow, when you're spending more time digging through ini files, waiting for Boris making some magic, and\or making tons and tons of mods in Geck\CK, just to make it behave at least a little bit better - that's not okay. That's not our job to fix their shit xD
I'm curious how they will support F4 during upcoming months, and how much more bugs they'll add..

Modding can't fix everything. Not without source, or reverse engineering + breaking the copyright law or something. Imagine if there were no Boris and Alexander. What then? Regular modders like myself can only optimize stuff. Models, textures, scripts (tho I don't even know anymore, papyrus looks like a big pile of crap, some kind of workaround-oriented programming level bs), small bugfixes aka unoff patches, simple ini fixes and scripted workarounds for those. But fixing something we don't have access to, like crapcode? That's not possible. Not for me at least (and people say I'm pretty badass scripter ). They fucked up - they should fix it. They knew there are problems with shadows and draw calls long before the release date, I'm 100% sure about it. They have entire team of testers around the world with various PCs, from old core2duo with gtx 480, to top notch amd\intel+nvidia rigs. They knew. Yet they decided to release it as is, without giving those bugs more attention. And tons of lies from Todd Howard and Pete Hines all the way. I'm not hater, but lol, they should start learning from CDPROJEKT RED or Bohemia Interactive how to make big games.refusedzero wrote:@Xilandro - If it's anything like their previous releases we can expect beaucoup more bugs with each update. It's magical how Bethesda seems to break games more rather than fix them in the patching phase. Although I agree it's not modders job to fix their shit (it's truly half-assed of them to the maximum), but I still kinda just wish they'd just focus on releasing the GECK right away so modders can start patching the game and we can skip whatever ridiculous crap BthDa digs out of the programming trash for 'updates'. I'd be fine with only using unofficial patches at this point as they've made me totally abandon hope of ever seeing a finished BthDa release, even months and months after it's come out. As far as I'm concerned, Boris and Alexander Blade are the real FO4 devs at the moment, lol.

Yet still better than Fo4 and a lot better optimized (don't forget no loading screens whatsoever, amazing streaming), and on "recommended" PCs or higher - it behaves like a charm at 2K 60fps.rev6 wrote:The Witcher 3 is a stuttery mess with my system so not sure if that's a good idea
I just want them to fix it, so I can play it some moar on glorious 60 fps without brutal drops to 20-25 =) that's all)

Re: Fallout 4 0.283 ENBoost
I want them to fix it to, it's their broken product (I would consider it broken atm), I just have absolutely no trust and faith that they actually will fix it. For instance, I think BthDa cares a whole lot more about the 10.5 million players at launch on console than the 1.5 million players at launch on PC, and we'll see a lot of console optimization while the PC updates are pushed to the back-burner. Standard AAA video game crap though.
What would we do without the megalith modders/coders like Boris fixing games? Iduno, I probably wouldn't be playing video games very much anymore. ENB sucked me back into gaming with Skyrim. My wife really thanks you for this btw Boris. =P

Re: Fallout 4 0.283 ENBoost
Just found out that the game actually runs faster without ENBoost with my new card.
Probably because Boris can't test his work on AMD hardware that it's not fully compatible.

I need save game where "Power Armor Headlamps" right in my hands.
Marcurios
I don't know what is the problem with some users, there is not graphics or slow functions, only few reading data back from drivers. And no testers as always, i need to sleep, to eat and do other things instead of waiting for someone.

Re: Fallout 4 0.283 ENBoost
In the many years I've been playing PC games, lag seems to be caused by poor code, memory-heavy textures, and the one thing nobody remembers, i.e. your PC itself. Go open up an original IBM 8086. Inside you'll find a motherboard with bits plugged into it. Now open the PC you bought this morning. Inside you'll find a motherboard with bits plugged into it. And that's the problem. Basic PC architecture hasn't changed, so the same old hardware bottlenecks won't go away until it does.
Also, you seriously think it's unplayable if your framerate drop to 30-ish? Boo-hoo:
And here's why I get the above:
That's right. 5 year old AMD PC with 4(four)GB of ram and an AMD 5750 1GB card.
Sure, only textures and lighting is set to high, everything else is set to medium or low, but it runs OK.

Some think 30FPS isn't good, me included. That's why I don't play console games... When you drop from 60FPS to 30FPS you feel it... I could imagine some parts of the game dropping to around 10FPS with your system. Go to Diamond City Market and see how your FPS is with double or more drawcalls than in the screenshot. 25FPS is a stuttery mess in my opinion and wouldn't play any game at that rate.Dazaster wrote:In the many years I've been playing PC games, lag seems to be caused by poor code, memory-heavy textures, and the one thing nobody remembers, i.e. your PC itself. The game has an old inefficient DX9 engine mutated into a DX11 one... This isn't a good example of modern PC gaming.
The "old bottlenecks" are the high level API's. Low level API's are coming for PC which will change things a lot.

Re: Fallout 4 0.283 ENBoost
I'm fine with 30fps; only game I play, that I don't limit to 30fps, is Dragon Ball Xenoverse, and that's only because my ping improves @ higher framerates in that game.
The problem arises when the game fluctuates. Juddering because the framerate sharply jumps between 23 and 30fps, because of draw calls...It's pretty yucky.
I'd be happy to just disable shadows entirely, but Bethesda removed that possibility.
