Sometimes the screen is getting dark for 1 or 2 seconds in a random way. Is it because that issue ?at least skylighting effect will toggle on/off when directional light (and shadow from it) disappear at some camera angles or with recent update that light intensity = 0. I

No, the thing you say is because skylighting use shadow data for computation and when camera is rotated not lucky enough so objects not rendered to camera right behind it, glitch occurs. Can be fixed, but lot of bother and i remember this feature was not much interesting for users. Skylighting cause of no shadow drawed will turn off, so not to darkness, but everywhere disappear with no darkening effect.

I'm not certain how others feel but in Fallout 4 sky lighting is one of my favorite effects. It looks especially great in downtown areas with big building shadows, however that is often where the effect begins to break.

Agreed. I can't play without it anymore.walrus wrote:I'm not certain how others feel but in Fallout 4 sky lighting is one of my favorite effects. It looks especially great in downtown areas with big building shadows, however that is often where the effect begins to break.

I also totally agree here. Skylighting is awesome, and together with SSAO and IL really upgrades the lighting. It plays a big role in the preset I'm working on. It would be sweet if those smaller glitches with skylighting could be ironed out. I wouldn't mind a bit of a performance impact if that is what it takes to stop it from glitching near the edges of the screen.walrus wrote:I'm not certain how others feel but in Fallout 4 sky lighting is one of my favorite effects. Actually, if it takes too much performance, there should be an option to toggle the fixes.TommyCreo wrote:I also totally agree here. Like:
Code: Select all
fixSkylightning = true // note this is quite performance heavy.

Hello I'm having issues with the shadows on water from the ENB. They flicker like mad in my game. Is there anyway to disable them or perhaps a fix?
It's not an issue with Lenox ENB in the video, seems to happen with all presets.
Heres a link to a short video that shows it, note that the flickering is much worse in game.

It's not shadows, but reflection. Game use low resolution reflection texture, plus glitches of screen space reflections in general - result lot of bugs on thin objects. Don't know, i can try remove small individual areas, but it will be another sort of bug. To waste more performance to compute in higher resolution not worth it, cause reflections rarely visible, but computed anyway.

Re: Fallout 4 0.385
Folks, could you please dig in to issues with interior/exterior detection to find out when it occurs and with which mods, beside pilgrim something? Dont know, maybe i could try fade out skylighting effect when direct light intensity is very close to 0 with such mods installed to not produce weird disappear of it and in that case sacrifice some interiors to make them detected as exteriors, like it was in 0.316 and earlier. Which kind of issues are preferable?
