Re: TES Skyrim 0.231

When you say self reflection, we talking about shadow ?

Or actual reflection like a mirror ?

Thanks.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.231

hehe Water is a big Mirror so what happens if you put 2 Mirros in direction to each other they reflecting each other that happens in the Water and between waves and the reflected image also :)

So it's neither the Shadows nor the Charakter reflection meant but the Wave reflection of the Water.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.231

I've been playing with 0.231 for most of the day. Performance is phenomenal, I don't think my frame rate ever goes below 30fps anymore.

As for the self water reflections, I've looked all over for them, but I've never seen any difference with the effect turned on or off. It may just be the water I'm checking hasn't exhibited it.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.231

I don't see any difference either, maybe its because of the water mods we are using. I'll try it with self reflection with unmoded Skyrim.

EnableSelfReflection=false (I saved config and then Applied Changes)

EnableSelfReflection=true (I saved config and then Applied Changes)

Both comparison pictures are identical as you can see.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.231

Sorry folks, i found mistake (another copy-paste bug), self reflection is toggled by water shadows.

Version updated, download again

Re: TES Skyrim 0.231

I believe I got a nice FPS boost from the minor internal fixes as well.

And Self reflections seem to be working. What is a brief rundown of what it's doing? I noticed that certain parts of the water's reflections became darker instead of reflecting the sky (Which, I assume, is the correct effect. For the water to reflect itself.)

DaemonWhite
It can't reflect sky in that places, because reflection vector is pointing in to water.
