Re: Fallout 4 0.393

Are you guys playing with mods? maybe you all have a texture mod that isn't compatible or something with this effect, i don´t know or you guys are installing this update wrong.
And yes, at the beggining, the effect is very subtle, so you have to tweak it to make is more noticeable, that´s what i did in that image up there.

Fixed some combinations of game video setting which not allow subsurface scattering to work. To be exact, ssao/hbao option is now doesn't influence sss visibility.

What makes you say that? I haven't tried it out yet myself, but will soon. The screenshot you posted looks really good.

Re: Fallout 4 0.393

You have good timing Boris, I was experimenting with some 2K textures that include pores and such in the normals and diffuse, but I had to bake in a bit of softness to not make it too much, now I don't have to. Having actual SSS is better. I did notice a couple of bugs though. For some reason if I toggle SSS off normally it looks like this, pretty cool but not really intended. I also noticed that when SSS is on, sometimes the speculars break on the character, they turn off entirely. It seems to be certain angles and certain light sources maybe? I'm still trying to figure out when exactly it happens.

EDIT: Seems to happen when you turn the camera frustum to face the same direction a direct light is shining towards.

Re: Fallout 4 0.393

Make a video please and any other advices, cause i can't see bug yet. Is it interior somewhere or exterior do matter a lot. Save game would be nice and screenshot of game video setting where ssao and other things are.
