Re: TES Skyrim 0.246

Looks really good to me. I hope you don't abandon the idea as think this kind of haze is really necessary for certain weather types to look right. Getting Bethesda's fog and the sky with clouds and sky statics to all blend together and look good especially at all different times of day is near impossible in foggy/rainy/snowy weather.

I'm with Confidence Man, could this possibly replace fog? if it can than I can imagine many Enb presets using it, but either way this would be a good addition.

Haze looks stunning. Incredibly atmospheric, and I'm sure the talented tweakers around here would do amazing things with it. I'd say don't give up on it without a fight :D

Re: TES Skyrim 0.246

With the latest 246 and after one dated 1/26 00:46, the gradual sky change is gone on my PC. I'm using the ENB's TIMEOFDAY settings, and at 18.5 which is the SunsetTime, the sky gets dark like a light switch flipped. If I use the previous 246 (dated 1/21 04:26), the gradual sky change is still there. Does anyone know which settings I have to tweak to bring back the gradual sky change?

I tested this at the Lake Ilinalta by issuing "set gamehour to 18.4" and view the west horizon. After about 10 seconds at 18.5 game hour, the sky gets dark quick.

UPDATE: I think I found it. The ENB's enbseries.ini file had VOLUMETRICTAYS DensitySunrise=5.0 but DensitySunset=1.0. The 1.0 value for Sunset made a noticeable jump at 18.5, but when I change it to 5 or 10 max, the jump is not noticeable.

I'm gonna have to chime in and say I think the haze is looking really good as is. Can't wait to see it in game myself :)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.246

Got a bug report for you boris, using latest binary.

Vsync should not work with borderless window right? well if it should then that's one bug.

The most irritating one, that really needs to be fixed:
FpsLimit: Gives huge amount of stutters when reaching cap and have a lot of gpu usage left.
You can see how the fps gets lowered because of fps limit. My limit is 60.

screens, first one with vsync showing settings and fps.

Second one: showing fps limiter with fps less than 60:

klotim
I will not touch fps limiter and vsync, they work as they should and the reason of any strange behavior is unknown, so unfixable from my side.
Vsync and borderless window are not linked to each other.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.246

Ha! I did amazing bug with the haze. Several weeks trying to make it math more or less correct looking, reach by features and simplest at same time, because it will be used in cycle for volumetic effects. All experiments were with too long code (because fog above horizon and below have different math) or it's very simple approximation (similar to those used in underwater deepness). You know what? With my common mistake of code copy-pasting i forgot to remove one variable and op, as result got ideal haze with allow to compute two fog types together, one is from older screenshots in this topic and another from last shot with light blue fog. And this math without visual strange behavior of the fog and very short at same time with fast arithmetics. Damn, that was awful headache and such mind blowing solution.
