Re: TES Skyrim 0.243

Test version is flat for me too on an AMD Radeon R9 290 on Catalyst 13.12. Will try to follow this topic so I can help test if necessary.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243

Test no difference. Stupid AMD.

Наоборот невозможно, какие бы баги не были.

Interior water bypassed from any processing, so it's completely bugs on your side, f.e. interior/exterior detection fail because of wrong skyrimprefs.ini setting or mods installed which produce sun light in interiors. Also this may be just because interior water disabled, but it was in older versions (buggy) and you believe previous is vanilla water look.

I can't do anything with AMD displacement bug, other available samplers are 7,8,9,13,14,15 and if 10,11,12 do not work, then i guess 8-15 too, so even if just 7 is properly working, it's just a 1/3 of correct water height data. Applying scaling to waves amplitude if AMD card detected? But if (and when?) it will be fixed, users will see 3 times bigger waves, it's too much. The only solution i see at this moment is to use non optimized version of water with original water samplers if AMD card is detected. Probably will do this asap if nobody have any other suggestion.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243

The only thing that I know is that AMD support it's a shame, at last for my past experience, I'll use the 0.236 for personal taste about the water effect against the cloud shadows, volumetric rays etc.., if you Boris still have the 0.239 it's better, at last I'll have the muddiness control too, thanks for the support anyway.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243

I can help testing all the samplers if you wish.
Else do whatever you feel right.
In my personal opinion, water effects are nothing to me compared to new volumetric effects you are making.
Which means i do not want to lose performance just to get working water effects with unoptimized version.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243

Version updated, download again
Did workaround for AMD driver bug of lower water displacement amplitude compared to NVidia cards, at cost of performance and not working filter quality parameter, but for NVidia users nothing is changed.

Nothing to test actually, they simply not work as intended.

Btw, what i'm trying to make last time:
