Re: TES Skyrim 0.264

Also, the to-be-released latest UnrealEngine v4.5 finally has the SSS skin like the ENB SSS skin. :)

I wish ENB SSS was available in Fallout, it makes skin so much better in Skyrim.

Do you think there's any chance to rework a bit the way Mist is added to the game. I mean, currently when increasing density the upper/middle sky are also influenced pretty strongly (I would dare say more than mountains). I would assume this is because the feature is depth based and sky depth is 1.0. This makes it impossible to create dense mist without blocking out the entire cloud layer/skydome. Maybe possible to draw mist differently? If not then too bad, but it would be very nice if can be done.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264

I don't know what upper/middle sky is. If it's clouds layers called like that, they are all same for me, just drawing order is differ. Why mist should not affect sky? It must be applied everywhere.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264

I remember the discussion on what to call "mist" before it was added. As I understood it, it is meant to be an atmospheric perspective effect and not literally mist or fog (although it can be used as such with anchors). That is how I use it at least.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264

I have an issue with lines on the sky. Here is a screenshot:

Here's an enlargement of a section of the above, which shows the issue more clearly:

The reason I'm posting it here is because the issue is gone if I turn off ENB with shift+F12. But it doesn't help to turn off the separate effects. I had a similar issue, but on the ground, when I was using Skylighting, but that's turned off so that's not it. Does anyone have an idea what might cause it?

Arkngt
Im getting that if my Skylighting filter quality is set to low/medium, so try set it to high.
Sharpening can also give artifacts like this.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264

As said, I'm not using Skylighting, but I'll check my sharpening settings.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264

It's my dithering. And some custom post process shader sharpen it. Without dither game looks ugly.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264

Yes, it has something to do with me switching to the Serenity ENB versions of effect.txt, enbeffect.fx, enbeffectprepass.fx and enbbloom.fx - and the settings in them. If I revert back to "vanilla" ENB, the issue is gone, but the game looks worse in other aspects. I'll try to find a balance between prod80's enhancements and this issue showing up so much. [Note: I'm not blaming Serenity ENB, which is excellent. I'm using bits and pieces of it which I have tweaked checking for other stuff so it's the witch brew of my own concoction which causes it...]

Yes, much better:

I think I basically overdid the Luma Sharpen in Serenity ENB, plus some other "tweaks".
