Re: ENBoost Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.203
it's not easy to notice if someone is joking if you can't see their face and the joke could go two ways i guess.
damn, i have a better PC and i cannot run 5000 highres textures, even without ENB.
But as it is now, i can run with 1500 high res textures and ENB with everything on and have 40fps.
But i had to heavily configure my game for that with tons of tricks, Fallout is actually a monster to get it to work smooth.
Even the ENB booster left me with loading stutters, Fallout 3 works pefect with me, also with full res textures.
But no matter how much time i spend on tweaking New Vegas, it will always keep stuttering, and i tried everything in the book.
Even when i install it Vanilla, with only NVSE and the stutter remover and some ini tweaks, constant loading stutters.
Even with ugridstoload=3 and textures the rest at low settings, it's just the game engine, it does not like my system.
If i could get those loading stutters fixed, i would be quite happy, maybe i need to buy a SSD, but i dont like the idea of having to buy
a expensive disk only to get this one game to behave, all other games run like butter, just Not New Vegas.
And i spend like 50 hours to try to get it smooth already, probably even longer.

Re: ENBoost Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.203
I mean loading stutters while walking around, when the game loads new cells (models and textures).
So i was actually hoping that the ENBbooster would help with these loading stutters, now it did run somewhat better,
but it usually runs much better when i have no ENBseries graphics effects active, so i can't really compare.
Then i would have to play the game with only the booster and without the booster.
Problem there is, i can't play without the graphic effects anymore, the game is ugly without SSAO,DOF and Shadows from Boris.
Before i thought the game was nice, but when i started playing with ENB it really became beautiful, i'm not going back, not even for 5 minutes.
I don't know about Skyrim with many mods, i played it once with a few mods and it was extremely stable and played very smooth.
Much better then Fallout ever played on my machine, so i would say that Fallout needs stability more then Skyrim does.
But then again, i never played with many mods on Skyrim, and i never play with conflicting mods, i always check thourougly for conflict and resolve them,
if i can't for some reason resolve then, i drop the mod that i like least.
But i only have like 10 mods on Fallout too, i don't like tons of mods.

I still don't understand if ENBoost helped or not for Fallout.

Re: ENBoost Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.203
As i said, it does run better, atleast i get no crashes when i play with the booster.
It seems to help with loading old savegames too that are not loadable when i do not have the booster.
But i only played for a short time and tested it a bit, cause i desperately needed your graphic enhancements again.
So i would say, yes, it is better then without the booster.
But to give you a really good answer i will go and test it out right now and check my memory usage and fps.

Re: ENBoost Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.203
Test results.
Without ENB Boost:
60 fps with drops on cell loading to 10-20 fps
memory usage (ram) 1700MB FalloutNV.exe
Alt-tab causes immediate crash, loading game is slow.
With ENB Boost:
60fps with drops on cell loading to 30-40 fps
memory usage (ram) 600MB FalloutNV.exe + 400MB ENBHost.exe (total 1100MB)
can Alt-Tab the game without crash, loading game very fast
my system specs: AMD Radeon 5870 1GB vram, AMD hexacore 1090T with 8GB fast gameram 1600mhz low cas, Sata2 hd 1,5 TB.
So ENB Boost definitely helps, it stabilizes the game a lot.

Dumb question here, but what was the fix for transparent weapons when aiming ( already applied the standard, non-aiming transparent fix ) boris ? Disable the DOF ?

I'm missing something here. What binaries fixed this ?
