Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.249

Would it be difficult to add 1.5x supersampling resolution as an option (1.5x width and 1.5x height) in addition to the existing 2x resolution?

tapioks
Hardware downscaling 1.5 times do not decrease aliasing artifacts, but i won't do this in shaders because of extra coding requirements.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.249

Ok. If it would not help anyway, there is no point to do it.

The game looks fantastic now anyway, thanks again!

@Tapioks,

just wait a few years till the VIDcards are more powerful, then you can play it smooth with 2x supersampling...hehe.

I play with 5 ugridstoload now, and the game is lightning fast, since Boris made the DOF variable for me i can
disguise the LOD somewhat more by blurring it when not aiming and the game looks stunning now.
For the first time in years i'm actually quite content with how the game looks, and this recent AA change is sublime.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.249

@Xilandro

You can play FNV with ENB effects and supersampling resolution of 3840 x 2160? What FPS do you get? :O

Or do you mean to force AA through GPU drivers? I think this is also not compatible with ENB depth-based effects...

What magic are you working?

May be you can't run fast enough because ssao SizeScale and SourceTexturesScale were not reduced 2 times accordinly to supersampling? There is no reason to run them in bigger than screen size resolution.
