0.246 added EnableProceduralSun=false
0.250 added EnableMist=false

These are default values. If your preset is based on 0.245, nothing will change if you use 0.250 and leave these features disabled.

@Boris
No I mean... I know they are backwards compatible but when I upload to Nexus a preset made for binary 247, and people will come 247 not available, I got 250. And these people will start to enable functions I do not support and come and report bad looking preset it makes no sense. I don't want to spend 4 hours per day answering people on the Forum about things that aren't working because users do not know how much time it takes to setup ENB. I rather just say, download 247 or 249 or whatever binary I made it for than deal with 100's of times the same questions and the same " bug reports " about new features not working as they should and people have no idea about weather system and how that works or how settings in enbeffect/bloom/prepass/sunglare/etc work with other binaries.

Even if older binaries are made available, what's to stop those know-it-all users from going ahead and downloading the newest binaries and playing with all the new whiz-bang effects? If you really needed a specific version, you could probably host it somewhere yourself. The download page only says it can't be hosted on the Nexus sites. Previous versions of binaries have been hosted on Beautiful Skyrim, for example, but I would ask Boris whether or not this requires express permission. I'm only offering alternatives because I manage an ENB preset myself and have to deal with the same realities - although 77 weathers is enough for me.

I always thought that preset means that everything is ready to run and new features are disabled by default, it's completely on user side if they modify your preset and there is no reason for them to complain. And i don't understand why the hell all TES games have this stupidity when some preset require exact version number, it's absolutely unlogical like upgrading Windows require all new software or new Skypre require new contact list. It's awful. I'm turning off all new effects by default and do not make own preset to simplify life to those who want to update. May be better to write in red letters on your preset page that all new versions are compatible and download latest? You know, i'm keeping old versions only if something really changed by performance or visually. Please think again how to find workaround, because it's simple for me to put any versions, but very bad practice for users.
Btw, try Beyond Compare tool, it's very useful for fast editing two files, for example adding new parameters. But again, you don't need to do this, especially with mist as i'm planning to make anchors (major change) for it and fix some artifacts (minor almost unnoticable changes).

Re: TES Skyrim 0.250

Nice update Boris! Mist is beautiful and it's parameters are great and fun to play with.

I tried to push the memory limit by increasing my ugridstoload the same way that I had previously tested and posted about in the
"Skyrim Memory Patch" thread. Unfortunately, the new enbhost.exe seems to have the same behavior as the previous version when I do the same test.

This is what happens. When loading an exterior save game with a ugridstoload setting of 15, memory usage for TESV.exe is under 1GB until memory usage for enbhost.exe grows to 4069MB at which point enbhost.exe stops growing. Then TESV.exe grows to 1500MB and then I get crash to desktop.

If I instead set ugridstoload to 13, then TESV.exe grows to 1294MB and enbhost.exe grows to 3633MB and the game loads ok.

Boris, it seems like we are still stuck at the 4GB limit. Were you able to confirm enbhost.exe memory usage above 4GB?

Thanks for everything!

When memory is not enought, another enbhost.exe process spawned. Do you see it?

EDIT: did you forget update enbhost.exe to new one?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.250

The IgnoreCreationKit=true in enblocal.ini with the wrapper binary did not work, so is this for the future feature?

I used the binary download's Mist settings, and the Mist just covered up the mountain top. Here's the pic left with Mist enabled and the pic right is disabled. Would the Mist feature override the ENB's VolumetricFog or is it an additional feature?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.250

I did copy enbhost.exe and overwrote the one that was in there. Good news is that I do see the second enbhost.exe. I'm sorry I didn't see it the first time, I didn't realize that you implemented it that way. So enbhost.exe #2 got to around 500mb before the crash. So now the crash is something for me to figure out. I will try a default install with no mods and see how far I can push it. Thanks!
