Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.368
Its pointless, because their darkness is computed from reverted lighting code. And when shadows not fully applied, this looks weird, because direct lighting must be "removed" by shadow. If you want shadows be brighter, increase ambient color.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.368
Since we are on the subject of shadows, any chance of adding the detailed shadows setting to SE?

Hi Boris, and Hi All,ENBSeries wrote:If i understood what you asking, the only way to do some compatibility is to integrade code in to every preset and no other way.
I hope, you have managed to rest yourself a little bit!
So, about Predator Vision vs ENB presets problems, I thought videos, etc... say way more and better how I could explain myself...
This is the mod from Gopher:
Predator Vision - Night Eye and Thermal Vision Overhaul
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... /mods/2777
Skyrim Nightvision Nighteye and ENB workaround / Fix
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2IawlBZa7U
Shortly, it's a workaround when he activate PV Night Vision Disable ENB, and vica-versa.
I hope it is more clear now... (?!)
I use I gues the most endorsed ENB Preset:
SkyrimSE Re-Engaged ENB
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... w%3D&pUp=1
Sadly, issue. The mod is working. But when ENB is active PV trigger does not activate Night Vision and/or Predator Vision well. Sadly, the ENB author also didn't know what should have been done, to solve that issue.
But, with The Truth ENB it works well (from Phinix). But that ENB is totally different aspect, postprocess effects.
If I am not mistaken, that issue not a new one.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.368
All night vision, vampire vision (and what else game have) are based on some parameters changed in post processing code. That code is removed when useoriginalpostprocess=false, because it is not just some detached thing like "we have night vision, let's increase brightness and contrast". No, game always do some bad things to colors which must be elliminated. Some people tried to make checks when certain variables in enbeffect.fx shader passed by game are equal to night visions, so when they are found, they do something like applying that game colors. But not all presets have such detection algorithm and any mods which change night vision do require tweaks again to detect this mode. So what you asking is not possible as some general approach.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.368
Why making it so complicated? The times have changed, there is a much easier way now to do it.kranazolika wrote:...ENBSeries wrote:If i understood what you asking, the only way to do some compatibility is to integrade code in to every preset and no other way.

Check out Silent Horizons ENB - it uses the image spaces from the vanilla game and/or mods, and such technical crutches are no longer needed. You can even set the mix between game image space and ENB processing.
In case i have misunderstood your question, i apologize, and please ignore this.

That's why I decided to put that video, because I had a feeling it's more complex than, just make a general solution.
And yes, some ENB presets works fine, others not.
But if I like a preset I won't change to another, which is mostly not suits to my taste.
I hope, in the near future more and more ENB author will make them preset to work better...
So, Thanks!
Bye!

Some preset works well, some not. But Silent Horizon, or not Silent it's not a preset I like, I prefer, ...
Always, pros and cons. That's never will change!
