Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

Well, I patched the shaders and released it for people to use. I dont know if they will conflict with ENB, the SE ones did. I just thought I'd mention it here for the sake of people who actually use ENB on VR. But it's up to you, idk how much work it is on your end.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

I never heard complains about this for vr version and even in se maybe just 2-3 told me about that problem (i do not play game myself, so didnt notice for long time). Also as you can see there is no activity about vr version, so i doubt anyone even bother to write about incompatibility issues. So probably just wait if someone request this, i don't want to mess with your findings about this bug.

Fixed bug of skylighting when subsurface scattering enabled and crashes when clouds shadow enabled.
thank you very much boris, great news :)

I think with next gen gpu, more and more people will using enb with skyrim VR. I am using it already and it looks great.

For example, most i use the famous Rudy enb without problems. but i have some questions:

1. does it make a difference performance wise to disable all effects that are not used in newest VR-enb ? for example: depth of field, complexparticle lights,

Rudy ENB:
[EFFECT]
UseOriginalPostProcessing=false
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false
UseOriginalBloom=false
EnablePrepass=true
EnablePostPassShader=true
EnableAdaptation=true
EnableBloom=true
EnableLens=false
EnableDepthOfField=true
EnableAmbientOcclusion=true
EnableProceduralSun=true
EnableDistantShadow=true
EnableDetailedShadow=true
EnableCloudShadows=false
EnableImageBasedLighting=true
EnableSkinSpecular=true
EnableSubSurfaceScattering=true
EnableSkylighting=true
EnableComplexFireLights=false
EnableComplexParticleLights=true
EnableVolumetricRays=false
EnableSunGlare=true
EnableWater=true

2. since i have no idea exactly what effects are possible in vr enb...what of these effect arent available in VRenb?

3. Is there a chance for particle lights or godrays? and is imagebased lighting available?

thank you boris again...you made the vr version looks awesome.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

Mod do not have hidden effects, so only what is available in editor can be activated (editor is visible on regular display screen as usual via shift+enter key), so using presets from skyrim se with se specific effects will not change performance and not activate those effects. Depth of field and complex particle lights do not exist in vr. I tried to make complex particle lights, but particles in vr are implemented with bug of rotation, so it's impossible to make this effect. Depth of field in vr is very annoying and bad for eyes, just wasting of performance. Rays need very high precision to not have bugs visible in stereo, i doubt performance loss worth this effect, vr looks better with clean image imho. IBL not available, because of transparent objects which will be ruined with this and to fix them is a lot of work which i can't do, such things not for my buggy setup when game crashes too fast and because performance unfriendly. Dont know, maybe one day i will find solution.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

Checked, works for me properly. Maybe you have some unusual game video setting when shaders not handled? Also try to increase properties there a lot to see changes.

thx for explanation.

for the moment i ll stick with enb 0.375 as it has better performance.i have to test more, if sss is worth the extra hit. *edit: its worth the extra hit :D the skin is looking great.
But what i noticed is that ambientocclusion was much stronger wit 0.391 and i had to adjust it. maybe its normal.

I would like to have a subtil lense effect with rudyENB when i look in bright lights. i wanted to enable it in GUI,but nothing happened. i have idea of coding and shader an so on...maybe i need a lens texture and rewrite fx files? is there any tutrorial for this? i just added procedural sun ...and it looks awesome in vr...with spectacular sunsets ,, here in my visual skyrim vr guide, i uploaded adusted rudy-enb files for this. but i would like to go further in customize enb´s

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

Lights and lens effect do not have connection via texture, because texture sprites only used for the sun in other mods, not for vr. In vr lens are similar to first introduced in deus ex 3 mod as blurred and spherically distorted screen with color filters. This effect need deep rework, i hoped people would use it as example for more complicated thing, but they didn't.
