Re: TES Skyrim 0.279
Thank you Boris. Those sound like some nice features. I recently got a new computer and card and looking forward to trying out the update tonight.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.279
Hello!
I am new to mods and stuff so I am following this beginner's guide on Nexus.
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56 ... w%3D&pUp=1
And have reached step 6. Patching Your Game. I am stumped with number 5 and those after. The link provided in the guide doesn't seem to lead to the download page for what I need, though I did look around on the ENB site and thought maybe TES Skyrim download was what I needed. I downloaded and unzipped but there was no " "WrapperVersion" Folder "
There was a d3d9.dll file, but no enbhost.exe or enblocal.ini files that I could see.
I am thoroughly stumped with this and would appreciate any sort of help or explanation possible, if this is the place for that. If this isn't the place, then if you know where I could ask this, let me know.
Thank you.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.279
Hi Boris,
I have a GTX 980 that is overclocked.
What problems can happen to update V.0279?
With the overclock I get around 5fps. Is there any intention to fix this bug?
Thanks.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.279
I don't know which bug you are talking about. Mod works fine, it's totally player risk to run it with overclocked videocard. High-end models consume lot of power; have higher temperatures; most users don't have any idea which cases have good cooling and which psu are good; hardware degrades with the time, etc. With ambient occlusion enabled mod turns in to stress test compared to other games which are not optimized that well and don't have such heavy effects, the only savior (but not guaranteed) is frame limiter with vsync enabled to give time for videocard to rest. Lower quality of [ssao_ssil] will help (and EnableSupersampling=false), but not accepted by everyone as solution.

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed and set me on my way through the rest of the guide, which has gone smoothly.wolfgrimdark wrote:Direct link is: http://enbdev.com/enbseries_skyrim_v0279.zipcodyrex97 wrote:Hello!

Re: TES Skyrim 0.279
Thanks Boris for the update
BruteForce really kills the framerate
Should I change "Filter quality" to lowest before applying BruteForce, or in this mode it happens automatically ?
What about "denoiser" function, should be turned off ?
Can you explain more precisely, what do you mean - invalid textures ? Wrong compression type, resolution, bad alpha channel ?
Profiler shows me usually a few thousands textures with valid data size and 30 -40 invalid.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.279
Not sure if I need to turn something else down or off, but with brute force enabled I get a silhouette like double image ghosting produced by the AO? Any ideas?

Guzio
Automatically filtering mode will be set to "very low" if any higher levels are used, otherwise user setting are used which are "very low" and "lowest". Denoiser is ignored.
Invalid textures have invalid data size (lower) parameter at creation time, so i don't know how much memory to allocate for them and need to do complex validation of them to compute real size. This seems game bug or developers didn't knew about such scenario for dds textures. As i understand, not all dds utils save files "properly" to avoid the bug. May be mipmap levels missing or not all stages generated leads to this, i heard about automatic tool for Skyrim which resize textures and may be it have the issue. Game itself have about 30-40 invalid size textures, but if texture quality in video options is set to medium or low, engine always provide wrong size. To reduce stuttering with ENBoost it's better to have that new profiler variables, i've seen several reports regarding heavy stuttering and invalid textures were the culprits for sure.

C'mon, you reporting exotic bugs all the time which don't have any logic recognition behind them. Replace videocard already, 6xxx have buggy drivers. And keep looking for crapware.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.279
Boris,
I have no crapware other than what ATI install, drivers are up to date latest 2015! Yes it would be nice for a upgrade but let's face it you are still using a gpu from the same generation just that it's the "Golden balls" Nvidia? I also don't know how else to explain my situation because I don't have the coding whatever experience and years some you guys may have... If you cannot help me then fair enough.
