Re: TES Skyrim 0.266

So there is no way to fix this? Or maybe somehow reduce the effect? I mean if everyone has the problem and there is nothing you can do, it's fine, then I have to live with it, but as long as there might be a solution, I will try it :-)

To be sure we are talking about the same, when I say change, I mean the sky reflections suddenly disappear when I move the camera or move the character, depending on the angle. There are different videos out there showing the effect but no one mentions any fix different than turning sky reflections off (which I don't like, because it's unrealistic).
I read in a skyrim graphics guide on nexus that the " bReflectSky can now be enabled with ENBSeries without unstable sky reflections". So either it was fixed at a certain point, they mean something different or I did something wrong.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266

Hi everybody, I'm having a bug with parallax and the newest binary.

So with .265 parallax is fine, it works on most surfaces but not on terrain.

With .266 it does work on terrain, but with some areas it looks waay over-exaggerated.

Here is an image of one of the messed up areas with the .265 binary. No parallax, no bugs.

Here is an image with the .266 binary. The parallax is present and over-exaggerated. Other terrain areas appear fine, however.

I tried to see if it was a mesh/texture problem so I removed all my mod meshes, textures, and BSA files. The issue was still present, albeit with a low resolution vanilla texture instead.

So, is this a problem with a buggy/poor quality vanilla parallax map? Or is it a problem with the binary? There are maybe 4-5 different types of objects I see this on in the game world, all of them are terrain. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266

chiknnwatrmln - its to do with the new feature terrain parallax.

The textures that 'spike up' are not compatible. You will have to turn OFF terrain parallax or find different ground textures.

Thanks for the input, I have that setting in my ini. Also, this happens with the vanilla textures+meshes as well.

I thought that parallax was handled by the meshes, not textures?

Edit: Here's a pic of the default textures and meshes, as you can see the issue is still present

FixParallaxTerrain=true <---set to false to disable parallax terrain

Enb achieve terrain parallax by utilizing the alpha channel in terrain texture as "displacement map", just google it if you want to know more.

@kylas: I am not aware of any fixes. I see it as an engine issue and how that particular effect is rendered. I could ofc. be wrong, and would welcome if new developments have been made in this regard.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266

hi boris,

i have a really small suggestion. is it possible to make numpad work for enb menu? to put in shader values. it is just so much easier to work with if you input like 1000 numbers in an hour.
thanks!

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266

I'm an NVIDIA user. When I enable FixLag, for some reason my colors get SUPER saturated and I'm not sure why...

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266

Okay, for some reason, the FixLag parameter makes SweetFX's Vibrance feature (Intelligently saturates [or desaturates if you use negative values] the pixels depending on their original saturation.) twice as effective, so just cutting the value in half fixed it.

Very strange.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266

For testing i need the place where i can see the problem myself in vanilla game, when EnableZPrepass=true is set. Don't know what the problem is, because what game draw to shadows is then used to clip color data, obviously shadows are not closer to camera than standart objects and i did a shift already.

Guredo
There are a lot of setting which looks like increasing brightness, i can't recommend something specific. Even enbeffect.fx may do this and probably better to start with it parameters.

Confidence-Man
Saturation of reflections? Is this realistic?

Kylas
That bug is reduces already by the mod as much as possible, but it's hardcoded game bug, 100% solution not exist yet.

benhat
I never use numpad (filled with dust), so never thought about implementing it keys. Probably will do that.

Bonnie Lass
That's not the issue of my mod, sorry.
